๐พ CLUB FINALS DAY 2026 โ PART 2 ๐พ
Now for the main eventโฆ ๐ The Championship Finals 2026!
Can you believe it? Just like last year, as we kicked things off, the rain arrived! ๐ง๏ธ
But once again, the rain couldnโt stop the tennis.
In fact, we witnessed by far the highest standard of tennis we have ever seen on a Club Finals Day. There were some absolute belters throughout the afternoon. ๐ฅ
And our courts deserve a huge mention too. Despite driving drizzle throughout the afternoon, not one court puddled. With our clay and Astro courts designed to cope with wet conditions, it was game on! ๐พ
We had 34 finals to get throughโฆ and by 7pm, we had finally completed them all! ๐
And what an afternoon it was.
The club was absolutely jam-packed with spectators, with the bar area rocking and the staff working incredibly hard to keep up with demand! ๐ป
A huge THANK YOU to every single finalist.
Man, woman and child, you all embraced the conditions brilliantly. Not one moan. You simply got on court, gave it everything and produced some outstanding tennis. ๐
And thatโs what made this yearโs Championships so special.
From Parent & Child and American Doubles, through to 8 & Under, all the way to 110 Doubles.
From the Menโs & Ladiesโ Main Draws to the Shield competitions.
There really was something for everyone. ๐ช
It was our most inclusive Club Championships yet, showcasing the entire club, all ages, all standards and everything that makes Swansea Tennis & Squash Club so special. ๐ ๐พ
