𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬

We are excited to announce the signing of exciting young winger Ieuan Cornelius from the Ospreys.

The 21 year-old, who can play across the back-line, joins with an impressive background across both rugby and athletics. Born in New Zealand, Ieuan spent part of his childhood in Swansea through his father’s Welsh roots, although much of his rugby development came in Australia.

Having previously been involved with the Wales U20s he brings pace, athleticism, and versatility to the backline as he begins the next chapter of his career in North Wales.

The 22-year-old back row forward is delighted to be joining RGC ahead of the new season.

“I enjoyed representing the RGC Under-15 and Under-16 teams for three years before having to move across the border to pursue a full-time professional career in Manchester with Sale Sharks.

I’m really looking forward to returning home to North Wales next season and getting more time on the field with RGC.

After following RGC and the Super Rygbi Cymru matches last season, September could not come soon enough for me, especially as I admire the exciting style of rugby RGC played.

It’ll be great to link up again with some of the boys from clubs across the north who I played alongside around six or seven years ago.”

RGC will play three pre-season fixtures as preparations continue for the 2026/27 SRC season.

The schedule sees RGC take on opposition from across the border, beginning with a "local" trip to Chester RUFC where they will come up against several familiar faces.

The following week, the squad heads over the Pennines to face Leedstykes who compete in National One, providing another valuable test ahead of the new campaign.

Pre-season concludes at Stadiwm Eirias with a return fixture against Champ club Coventry Rugby Club who we visited last summer. The home clash will give supporters a chance to see the squad in action before the SRC season gets underway.

Tickets for the Coventry fixture are on sale now. Season ticket holders are reminded that the match is included in their package.
