🔴Everyone at Rodborough Youth is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Jason Scrivens. We send our heartfelt condolences to Kate and all of Jason's family at this difficult time.

⚫Jason was a joy to be around—always friendly, helpful, and willing to share his knowledge and advice with coaches. He was someone who would step in whenever help was needed and was a valued part of our football community.

🔴He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

🔴This weekend was the annual tournament held at Quedgeley Wanderers Football Club. We had a total of 8 teams competing across the weekend with today being a girls only day.

⚫First up was our under 11 who put in a brilliant display, winning 4 and drawing 2, only the one loss and 1 goal conceded. Unfortunately not enough to progress through but a great string of games none the less.

🔴Our under 12s started yesterday and managed to get standout victories over Quedgeley and Tuffley.

⚫For our u13 Raptors it was a tough day, picking up a couple of draws but not quite enough for the the three points. Unlucky lads

🔴Our u10s Wildcats went into the tournament with it being the first for most of the squad. A good start with draws against Quedgeley and a narrow loss to a strong Cinderford side. The girls finished well with a draw against Charlton rovers. A great experience for all.

⚫Meanwhile our u10 Lionesses it was a tough day playing some of the top sides around. A great chance to test themselves against the best and managed to pick up a draw Tupsley and narrow losses to others. Unlucky girls

🔴Our under 13 Jaguars fared better and put together victories over Hardwicke and Dursley plus draws. This progressed them into the quarter finals where they came unstuck against Cotswold elite. Well played Girls

⚫The u13 Lionesses also taking part but finding it tough going. They kept their heads up though after arrow losses and maged to finish strongly with a victory of City of Glos.

🔴Finally our under 14 girls, who started the day with consecutive draws before a tight defeat. They did finish well with another draw but unfortunately not enough to progress.

👏👏Well done to all involved. Amazing to see so many sides competing and getting into tournament season. Onto the next one.....

U11 Lionesses on 🔥🔥

🔴Our under 11s countinued their amazing form as they went into another tournament, this time held by Southside Star Football Club

⚫The day started well with a strong performance and victory of Tupsley Youth before the girls then battled had in two consecutive draws. That left them top of the group and into the semi finals where they faced Hucclecote Lionesses.

🔴The girls again stood upto the task and went on to claim victory earning another final and a chance for more trophy success though they would have to face Gloucester city to get there.

⚫The game was tight and after the allowed time nothing could separate the sides. Onto penalties....again. The girls having won their previous tournament on penalties so they could take that confidence with them. And that's just how it went with some smart saves from our keeper and well placed shots, giving the girls the victory.
Yes girls 👏👏👏

🔴The dust has settled from a bumper presentation day. A day which saw our age groups come together, celebrate and review their season. While also scoring some goals past their parents in some highly congested matches.

⚫Wanted to thank everyone from coaches, to parents and family members who were able to support us on the day. We are so grateful for your efforts, we couldn't have put on that day without you all 🙏

🔴Another shout-out to all of our sponsors and kind donators who put something in for our raffle. A successful scheme and something which allows us to put more funds into the children and their football.

Next up, Tournament!!

Reptors on the Road

🔴Our under 13 Raptors travelled over to Coleford for Broadwell Amateurs Youth Football Club annual tournament. The first on the calander for the 13s.

⚫They started off the day with a defeat to bishops Cleeve, followed up with a stalemate with Broadwell. Next up was Cinderford Colts and the boys got a narrow victory leaving them par after three matches. Another game with Cinderford this time their whites and unfortunately a tough game and defeat, though the boys got through to the quarter finals and a chance to progress.

🔴A game with Cinderford Town Colts and after full time the game was level. Unfortunately penalties saw the boys bow out at the quarters. An enjoyable day though and a good start to the tournament season. Well done all

🔴Tournament season is upon us and this today our under 11 girls took part in the event held by Abbeymead Rovers FC Youth. The girls started strongly winning three on the bounce with victory over Cheltenham Town, Charlton Rovers and Abbeymead before a goalless stalemate with Dursley.

⚫Those results left them in first place and earning a spot in the finals, again against Dursley

🔴The game was tight and neither team could muster a goal, it would take penalties. The girls kept their composure and with some keeping heroics the girls would go on to win the shootout and take home the silverware. Well done girls, you are fantastic 👏👏👏

🔴Our under 11s have been playing against the local Stroud District team, ran by Atlas Camps. Both our lions and Lionesses gave it a real good shot, scored some goals and gained some great learning experiences playing against real strong opposition.

⚫Also shout-out to the children involved who are part of the district set up. A real sign of progress and we are so proud with how youve done 👏👏
