Congratulations to Darren Griffin who recently became the 60’s national champion.
Darren who plays for Nailsworth Phoenix “A”, who this season finished top of Stroud League division one and also won the Albert Mann Trophy, won the title recently in Wolverhampton.
In a field of 90 players in the event Darren duly reached the final where he beat Richie Venner 3-0.
As a result Darren has been called up to play for England in the vets 6 nations tournament in Jersey in September.
We wish Darren all the best whilst representing his country.

All the award winners that will be presented tomorrow (Monday 8th June) at Nailsworth Phoenix, the awards will be followed by the Stroud League AGM.
