Last weekend we enjoyed our biggest ever outing to the All England Open (15 of us!). Almost every match went to 3 and the session lasted over 6 hours 😂 We were ready for the big meal that followed, then drinks, darts and shuffleboard. Our adult and junior clubs are both full at the moment, but we hope to have the court space to expand soon, so watch this space for further news!

Our Christmas meal at The Stroud Hotel, followed by drinks at Holy Water. After 3 embarrassing attempts at a group selfie we finally gave up and asked a waiter.

We currently have 2 mens teams, 1 ladies and 1 mixed, plus a juniors club. If you’re interested in getting involved please get in touch!

Our Junior Club is now up and running thanks to funding from BADMINTON England and a lot of hard work from the club's volunteers 🏸💕 It's for 12-17 year olds of any standard and coaching takes place 6-7 pm on Thursdays at Active Lifestyles Stroud's Stratford Park Leisure Centre. The current course runs through to the end of the year and is full. We had our annual summer BBQ on Sunday - a delicious selection of meats, salads and desserts. Mark’s home-brewed cider was weaker than last year, though still strong enough to leave you sleepy for the next 5 hours.

11 of us had a great time at the All England Open last weekend. We were watching, not playing, but fancy our chances for next year. After watching England smash Wales in a local pub (which made most of us very happy), we had another top notch Indian at Mowgli’s, then some fairly chaotic table tennis. We hope all the sitting down, drinking and eating will inspire our teams to strong performances in the remaining games of the season.

New players are always welcome, please get in touch! We currently have 3 men’s teams, 1 ladies and 1 mixed. ☺️ 🏸
