Our Haresfinch Hawks Under 7s & Under 8s are on the lookout for any little ones from school years 1, 2, & 3 that would like to try giving Rugby League a try!!!

If your little one would like to try a new hobby/sport and meet some new friends, please get in touch and we would love to welcome them Bowen to training on Tuesday & Thursday evenings.

🚨CALLING ALL HARESFINCH ARLFC PLAYERS, PAST AND PRESENT🚨

Next Saturday (13th June), Join us from 12 noon as we celebrate our Haresfinch past players of years gone bye in our opening fixture of the day, as a fantastic lineup of Haresfinch Legends take on your Haresfinch masters plus a few special guests.

The Haresfinch Legends Lineup will include players from our 1978 squad all the way up to our recent open age team, plus lots of guys from the many teams in between.

Last years game ended with Haresfinch Masters scoring 2 tries to the Legends 1, with the Masters name becoming the first to be engraved on the brand new trophy. Whose name will be etched on the trophy this year???

The game is all about enjoying throwing the ball around and meeting up with “Finchers” old and new over a couple of beers! So if you have ever pulled on a Haresfinch jersey, get yourselves down and enjoy the fun!

Second up we welcome our great friends from Arlecdon Rams masters travelling down from Cumbria for a fixture that always provides fireworks.

12:30pm - Haresfinch Legends v Haresfinch Masters and guests

2pm - Haresfinch Masters v Arlecdon Rams Masters

Following the on pitch entertainment, everyone will be welcomed in to the function room to share a drink or two and talk about days gone by and if last year was anything to go by it may well end up evolving into some singing and dancing.

We are proud to announce that We will be participating in the Great Big Green Week running 6th – 14th June 2026.

As a Community Rugby League club we work hard to include and inspire everyone in our local communities and beyond, and Great Big Green Week is an opportunity to open this up to even more people.

Here at Haresfinch Rugby & Community club we like to try to offer something for everyone. We are extremely proud that our Junior Rugby league continues to go from strength to strength, as Comnunity rugby league brings people together in a way like no other.

Away from the field we are always looking to offer other opportunities for people to get out in the fresh air, socialise, and have a positive impact on their community.

During the Great Big Green Week, running from 6th to 14th June 2026, we are planning to expand upon our already thriving allotment project by clearing and painting another area of unused space to create a small garden with wild flowers and potentially a couple of fruit trees.

Great Big Green Week is the UK's only mass moment for nature and climate, and organisers expect 2 million people to take part this year.

HARESFINCH COMMUNITY MINI ALLOTMENT PROJECT

This project is for adults and kids of all ages to come along, get your hands a bit dirty, and turn them into green fingers.

Every Wednesday, we meet at 4pm to slowly convert a small patch of overgrown, rundown waste area into our very own community allotment, growing fruit & vegetables and flowers to decorate around the club.

This is a FREE activity and we hope to provide all equipment necessary.

As this is a FREE community activity and we have started from nothing, we are always on the lookout for any equipment that you would like to donate. Any donations would also be greatly appreciated to help towards ongoing cost. So if you have, or know anyone that has, any spare spades, garden forks, trowels, hard brushes, gloves etc please get in touch. We are also be on the lookout for a small shed, So if you hear of anyone that has one, unused and taking up space in your garden, that they could bring to the club then please keep our project in mind.

TONIGHTS HARESFINCH RUGBY & COMMUNITY CLUB JUNIOR DARTS CLUB CANCLLED🎯

Unfortunately due to unavailability of club organisers, tonights Junior darts club in unavoidably cancelled.

The boards will still be set up and all players are more than welcome to come and play. We will also have certificates and competition sheets available if any of the parents would like to run a competition.

Finch Food will also be open as usual.

If you don’t pay us a visit tonight then We hope to see everyone back next Wednesday and every week from 6:30pm (no entries after 7pm)

Last week at Knitwits we didn’t take photos, instead we asked people to give comments about the group and what Knitwits means to them.

Today we’re also doing a mini lunch to say goodbye to Michelle as she’s starting a new job soon and won’t be able to come as much. GOOD LUCK MICHELLE!

We’ll have the kettle on so why not come down to Haresfinch Rugby and Community Club, Haresfinch Road WA119NS for our social crafting sessions.

Bring any project you're working on, have a cuppa and a catch up.

Come along and meet new friends. Everyone is welcome.

Whether you want to improve your skills or start from scratch, our regulars will welcome you.

Bring your knitting or crochet, something to paint, literally any crafting that takes your fancy to make something for yourself or make something for one of our summer or winter craft fairs.

Crafting isn’t just a way to pass time, enjoying a hobby can reduce stress and refocus the mind, it promotes wellbeing, diminish anxiety and what's more it's even better with friends!

We are only asking £3 a session and that includes refreshments.

This Sunday 24th May we will be hosting our Canada themed quiz night at Haresfinch Rugby and Community Club from 5pm!!!

The quiz is open to everyone with teams of all sizes! So grab your family and friends and join us for some quizzing fun!! It is only £5pp to enter (cash only) and all funds will be going towards supporting our team on our 2026 Canada tour in 35 days time.
