St Helens Rovers FC St Helens Rovers FC is a grassroots football club initially formed in 2008, providing both junior and adult male and female pathways.

Formed in 2008 by a small group of friends after securing sponsorship,the club found a home, found some players and began their journey.

12 years and one cup later, a mixture of Covid and aging bodies brought the Rovers journey to a natural.conclusion. However, in readiness for the 2022/23 season, Rovers are back! Starting initially with 2 new junior teams and a revamped club crest, Rovers are a new club, with new players and new ambitions.

Player recruitment for the 2026-27 season is still open! 🙌🏼

With established teams, growing pathways, and exciting new opportunities launching across the club, we're looking for players who want to develop and be part of a positive and progressive football environment.

We are currently looking for players for the 2026-27 season across various teams:

🔹 Women's First Team
🔹 Under 17 Girls
🔹 Women's She Inspires
🔹 Under 8 Girls & Mixed (school year 3 in September '26)
🔹 Under 7 Mixed (school year 2 in September '26)

We're committed to providing a positive environment where players can develop, enjoy their football, and progress properly:

✅ FA and UEFA Licensed coaches
✅ Player development-led club
✅ Safe learning
✅ All abilities and experiences welcomed

⚽️ COACHING OPPORTUNITIES! ⚽️

As St Helens Rovers continues to grow across our junior and women's pathways, we're looking for passionate coaches to join us for the 2026-27 season.

Whether you're an experienced coach looking for a new challenge or you're ready to take your first steps on the touchline, we have opportunities available across several age group provisions 🙌

We're committed to not only developing players, but coaches too:

✅ Ongoing support
✅ Coach development planning
✅ Help with progression in the game
✅ Positive, development-led club environment
✅ Various pathways

Current opportunities include:

🔹 Women's First Team
🔹 Goalkeeper Coach
🔹 Women's She Inspires teams
🔹 Under 7 Mixed
🔹 Under 8 Girls
🔹 Play Phase

FA Level 1 or UEFA C preferred, but not essential. Subject to a successful FA enhanced DBS clearance, and essential safeguarding and first aid course completion (if not already held).

Phenomenal work from St Helens Rovers FC Women in the County Cup secured the side's first ever win in that competition last weekend 👏

Absences meant only 11 players made the trip with no GK in the squad, but a 90+4 Rovers' equaliser took the tie to penalties, which they won 3-1 🙌

Incredible effort and mentality all round - now it's into the hat for the next round draw!
