Here she is….for our defensive masterclass tomorrow for our girls…… YOMI WILSON!

Yomi Wilson is a rising English netball player who plays as a defender for NIC Leeds Rhinos in the Netball Super League. Standing at 186cm, she primarily occupies the Goal Keeper and Goal Defence positions. She is highly regarded for her incredible defensive reach and aerial intercept capabilities

Yomi rose through the ranks at AO Manchester Thunder. She initially made an unexpected Super League debut at just 17 years old in 2022 due to squad injuries, before captaining their developmental NXT Gen side.

Ahead of the 2026 season, she signed her first professional contract to join NIC Leeds Rhinos under head coach Lauren Palmer. Initially brought in as a high-impact impact player, she stepped up into a consistent starting role for the Rhinos following defensive injuries within the squad.

She earned a bronze medal with the England team at the 2025 Netball World Youth Cup in Gibraltar, and has been selected in the 2026/2027 Roses A programme, one of only 11 players!!

We can’t wait to welcome Yomi to our club and see her work with our defenders 🐝💙💛

As finishes, our shining spotlight ends with our founder 🐝 Leanne founded our club in Sept 2021 and had a vision to get more girls on court at a younger age…..and Wowsers that vision come to life. In such a short space of time, we now have over 150 girls wearing our bees kit every single week and 120 girls playing competitively 🐝🙌🏻 we have over 35 coaches who support our club and that includes our incredible junior coaches too who are perfect role models for our bees.

Our committee, some of who you’ve seen this week on socials, work tirelessly to make this club the best it can be. And as Leanne says on her quote, our club simply couldn’t run without our volunteers 🐝

So from Leanne, head of our hive, a massive thank you to absolutely every single volunteer who gives 5 mins a week or 5 days a week to our club! Every minute of volunteering means the world 🌍

We are more than just a netball club…….. 🙌🏻🐝

A great day for our year 6 Lydia and two year 5s Charlotte and Alex who took part in the ALL-STAR NATIONAL FINALS - ENGLAND🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Players from all over the country competed to see if they had what it takes to represent England at the upcoming ENG Home Nations Cup.

Lydia was part of the winning team and will now take on Wales, Northern Ireland & Scotland at the Home Nations Cup in July.🌍

Well done Lydia we are so proud of you and you deserve this moment!

Congrats to Alex and Charlotte who had a great experience at the event and played some great netball with some talented players!!

played in only their 2nd game. Last time out vs Nellies blue they lost 18-0. Today was much improved, with the score ending 11-1. The girls tried hard & at 5yrs old to be on court itself is a massive achievement & the only way is up ⬆️
OPOM - Darcey - what a journey she has been on. Took the court, played 3Qs and scored our goal.
CPOM - Erin - worked hard in all positions & had some good link up play when she could.

⚡️🐝 LIGHTNING BEES⚡️🐝 Y1/2 prem🐝
a great game vs Royals! With only 5 players, the girls had to dig deep, & their effort was incredible. We were on fire with our interceptions, creating lots of turnovers & didn’t concede a goal for 2Qs. We will work on our passing accuracy, getting in front of our players & choosing the shorter pass to but the girls couldn’t have given any more.
Loss 8-2
CPOM – Penny - fantastic all round, made some brilliant interceptions & scored our 1st goal.
OPOM – Cece - worked tirelessly throughout, battling for every ball & making some excellent interceptions.

💚🐝 ORCHID BEES 💚🐝 Y3/4 Div 1 🐝
Tough game vs Galaxy Twinkle but they never gave up. I knew this game would be a big ask but the girls tried their best. Galaxy took the early lead & we were chasing for the rest of the game. Slow 1st half resulted in us being down 10-0 going into Q3. However the girls came back on stronger & with more fight in them, but the deficit & Galaxy’s speed were too much for us.
Loss 16-3.
OPOM - Jorgie - feisty in defence & stuck like glue to her player.
CPOM - Indie - worked hard in defence & made some lovely drives down court

👸🐝 ROYAL BEES 👸🐝 Y1/2 prem🐝 🐝
Derby v lightning & we showed that our strength is teamwork. We took a lead in Q1 of 5-0 but as we went into Q2/3 we took our foot off the gas & didn’t score in Q2 &3. After team talks, in Q4 the girls found their flow again & scored 3 more goals. Final score WIN 8-2
OPOM - Isobel - amazing movement around court, found space & got the shots to goal
CPOM - Holly - great defence & shown some lovely drives for the ball

A solid performance from Honeys bringing home the win 29-10 against Nellies Halo. They settled quickly & displayed some great passages of play. Everyone embraced their position & executed their role well, contributing to a strong team performance.
A particularly strong Q3 & Q4 from the shooting duo helped maintain the momentum, while the defence kept a clean sheet in the final quarter. Well done Honeys 💛❤️🖤

faced a tough & physical Grappenhall side today. Our girls started extremely well in the first 2 quarters shutting down some of the taller Grappenhall girls, Q3 we seemed to take our foot off the gas a little allowing some quick goals to be conceded but our girls ground it out to a victory in q4

CPOM: Rosie- movement off the ball was great & fought for every ball

faced NW Panthers today and every player stepped up with a strong team performance. Defensively, we were great, with each player doing their job to apply pressure, force turnovers, and disrupt the oppositions flow.
Our attacking connections were strong, particularly in our goal third, allowing us to convert opportunities and maintain momentum throughout the game.
A well earned 22–15 victory.
OPOM: Imogen, relentless in defence and a constant source of pressure.
CPOM: Alice, Tremendous work rate throughout the court, providing great support and effort from start to finish.

Strong performance from our scissors against hawks blizzard. The girls displayed geat teamwork with some impressive play resulting in them all finding the net. Our feet are better and we all showed how to cleanly challenge for the loose balls and win possession. A fab win 17-3.
OPOM - Violet - back with a bang, great effort and controlled the game.
CPOM - Maeve - great defence and lovely shooting technique.

💛🐝 BUZZER BEES 💛🐝 y5/6 div2🐝played a lovely Northwich Nitros team & wow did they impress! Fast clinical play in the middle, accurate shooting, & our defence combos worked hard to turnover ball. The coach of nitros commented on how well yue girls played and how much potential they have for y4. Finished 38-11 win.
OPOM - Willow - showcased a midcourt masterclass throughout.
CPOM - Esme - fast, always an option, great feeds into the D and great link up down the court.

🌸🐝 FLOWER BEES 🌸🐝 y5/6 div 3🐝
played Altrincham Cobras in today’s game, our FCP started strong & we worked straight to the D but an interception threw us & we seemed to struggle to keep up with the pace and find some flow. The girls applied what we learnt in training & were able to incorporate bounce passes into some of our play. Unfortunately we just couldn’t keep up with Cobras and it ended a 36-7 loss. Lots to work on.
OPOM Seren, had some cracking interceptions & tracked her player well.
CPOM Maisie, fast with her movement around court & getting the ball into the D.

Today was a special day for this little Nova Bee 💜🐝 Darcey suffers with confidence and this was the very first time she was to take the court outside of training…. Darcey has a fear of shooting, so we went for the rotation where she played C first to ease her in, then it was the turn to be GA. Mum was nervous, I was nervous! Darcey had some little tears but she went on for Q2…. And this happened!!!!!
We all went crazy for her, and she smiled from ear to ear! No tears, just smiles!
Our first ever match goal for Novas, and this means so much more for Darcey and her mummy 💜🐝
Darcey, we are all so proud of you! What an achievement at such a young age to overcome your fears and be brave!
We can’t wait for your next game 💜🐝
