What a way to start the season for our development teams across both clubs St Helens Bees Netball St Helens Netball Club 🎉

Our u10s came to play today. Their Summer training paid off and the teamwork on court was amazing to watch. Each girl had their own personal wins on court, they enjoyed their netball and you can tell they’re ready to get back to their match play. The girls won all 6 of their games and finished top for their age group, coming home with Gold medals🥇& the tournament trophy 🏆

Coach’s player of the Tournament went to Megan 🌸The improvement in her play showed today as she thought about her position on court, she listened to her coach’s advice and moved well as WD. Well done Megan!

And what a day Maisie had…. Being voted the Northwich Tournament u10 MVP by the umpires …. she took the trophy home out of all U10 teams today. This was very well deserved after some great performances throughout the day! Congratulations on this incredible recognition Maisie!

A fantastic way to start the new season for Bumbles! Coming 3rd is such a brilliant achievement, especially for a team with two new players and another player competing in her very first ever netball tournament! There were so many positives to take from the day. We saw great connections on court, some fantastic passing and movement, and real determination to win the ball. Most importantly, it was lovely to see the girls coming together as a team, supporting and encouraging one another throughout the tournament. Super proud of them all - Well done Bumbles ❤️🐝

Coach’s player of the tournament went to Evalynn 🐝She was super strong in defence, working tirelessly to put pressure on her opponent, tracking well and making some fantastic defensive plays. Well done Evalynn!

Lovely morning with U12 Blacks 🖤🐝 It took us a while to get out the blocks with a tough first game but following that, technically they all individually stepped up executing the basics really well, there were some lovely connections and passages of play and most importantly they looked like they were enjoying every minute! Well done Amber for playing with one hand due to a finger sprain in the first game - incredible resilience!

Coach’s Player of the Tournament was awarded to Marcie…wow! What a morning she had, her confidence is soaring, she was key in linking up the play and her attacking prelims were superb!

So last night….. we welcomed our newest cohort of bees 🐝 our new pre schoolers absolutely came with purpose and were INCREDIBLE!!! We can’t wait to watch their netball journeys!
We had a full house at training with summer holidays over and the girls absolutely smashed it!

They finished with some match play!

Warriors 1st ever 7s game v Warrington diamonds in the 5/6 league. We settled well trailing 3-2 end q1. A few errors crept in & we lost out flow ending 7-3 q2. A quick change and q3 we came at it strong setting up a fab finish 11-10 end Q3. We dug deep, and worked hard to take the win 15-14. Awesome team effort.
OPOM - Betsy worked hard at Wa fab drives out and re-offers.
CPOM - Sam- confident shooting and strength shown today.

A strong start to the winter season for s64cissor bees as they took on hawks. Great energy parterships and fun was on display and we led from the off. Excellent team work meant we sank 12 goals to take the win 12-2.
OPOM - Mya strong in attack super goals n feeds and great turn overs.
CPOM -Violet -played smart, led on court boxed out like a pro!

‘Wirral Gems minis’ sprang out with some well rehearsed set plays & took our little Novas by suprise, playing outside took them a moment to adjust. Some nuggets of lovely passages of play, we managed to keep possession for goal opportunities. Although the game wasnt in our favour, we managed to keep the pressure on their opposition & didn’t make it easy for them to take the win, contested every ball and opportunity. An unfortunate loss 0 - 7.
OPOM - Mae - held a strong defence creating lots of opportunities for interceptions, strong pocket drives for the backline passes, tracking arms over ball.
CPOM - Lily - picked up rebounds a plenty, protecting the circle, a wonderful combo with Mae in the defensive circle

⚡️🐝 LIGHTNING BEES⚡️🐝 Y1/2 prem🐝
A strong start to the Winter League. We came ready with fire in our bellies. Q1 started with a bang & our attack were straight onto it, moving the ball up the court fluently with some lovely passages of play, ending the quarter at 7-0. The girls seemed locked in then & the drive was there to take the win. The pairings were lovely, there were lots of inceptions made throughout and the girls dominated the game through the rest of the quarters taking a strong win of 21-0. The hunger for that win was clear today.
OPOM -Penny, strong in attack, passing & moving up the court @ securing 9 goals. Lovely partnership with Nancy.
CPOM -Esme -played well throughout, defending like a pro and providing lots of turnovers and securing 2 goals.

🐝We are looking for 6 local businesses who could sponsor our monthly player of the month trophies for Winter league 2026 for 2 different leagues for the first time! 🏆

🐝We want to expose as many of our amazing local business community as we can, hence why we are looking for a different business each month 🙌🏻

🐝The league runs from Sept 2026 to Feb 2027 and trophies will be for these months 🐝

🐝 We will advertise your business to our members, families, supporters and social media platforms…but also to the netball community too both in Merseyside, Cheshire and the North West 👍

🐝We have 12 teams entering the Winter league ….Your business will be on the plaques of the 12 trophies for that month 🐝
