πβ¨ Saints Ladies Touch Rugby β Super Sunday Match Report
Another fantastic Midlands Ladies Touch League Super Sunday for Saints Ladies, taking on teams from across the region and testing ourselves against some of the strongest opposition in the league.
Our first game saw us face Camp Hill, one of the top sides in the competition. Despite a 3-1 defeat, the ladies put in a tremendous performance. To come away with that score against a team of their calibre was a real achievement and showed just how far we're progressing as a squad. πͺ
Next up was Pershore. Although the final score was 4-1, it was another strong showing from Saints. Our defence was outstanding throughout, and the highlight was a superbly worked team try that showcased the teamwork, determination and attacking flair we've been building all season.
We then took on league leaders Breedon. The final score was 5-0, but there were plenty of positives to take away. In previous meetings the score has been significantly wider, so this was another indication of the progress we're making as a team. The effort, commitment and defensive resilience shown against the strongest side in the league was something the whole squad can be proud of. π
The day finished with a friendly against NO Scouts. It was a fast-paced and entertaining game. Saints came out on top 5-4 in a thrilling contest that kept everyone on their toes until the final whistle.

π Player's Player β Elaine ππ
A huge congratulations to our wonderful Elaine, who worked tirelessly through the middle all day. Whether in attack or defence, she never stopped putting in the hard yards for the team and gave absolutely everything from start to finish. Her effort, determination and work rate did not go unnoticed, making her a thoroughly deserving recipient of the Player's Player award. πͺ
And the cherry on the cake? We won the Spirit of the Games Award! β¨π
This award is voted for by the other teams in the league, making it especially meaningful. To be recognised for our sportsmanship, friendliness and positive attitude throughout the day is something every player should be incredibly proud of. It reflects exactly what Saints Ladies is all about and is every bit as important as the results on the pitch. π
A brilliant day of rugby, plenty of progress against strong opposition, and an award that truly reflects the character of this team.
GO SAINTS!
