INVITATIONAL CUP DRAW. 🏆

The draw is in, and we’ve been placed in Group D alongside Brinklow, Caldecott Arms and Rugby Borough Souters Vets.

The top two sides in the group will progress to the Hospital Cup, while the bottom two will move into the Advertiser Cup.

Last season our Advertiser Cup run ended at the quarter-final stage, so we’ll be looking to go further this time around.

Plenty to look forward to. 🔵

THREE YEARS OF AFC RUGBY. 🔵🐻

Three years ago, AFC Rugby began its journey.

Since then we have seen players, matches, goals, volunteers, supporters and sponsors that have all helped shape the club into what it is today.

From our first friendlies to establishing senior teams, building long-term partnerships and now preparing for the next stage of our journey into Saturday football, the club continues to move forward.

A huge thank you to everyone who has worn the shirt, stood on the touchline, volunteered their time, sponsored the club or supported us along the way.

Three years down.

And we’re only getting started.

FULL TIME: AFC Rugby 0–4 The Bank FC. ⚽️

A disappointing way to bring pre season to a close, as The Bank FC ran out deserved winners this morning.

There were positives in the opening stages, but over the course of the game we fell well below the standards we expect from ourselves. Plenty to take away and put right before the competitive season begins.

Pre season is done. Attention now turns to the opening game of the 2026/27 season.

FULL TIME: FC Courthouse 1–2 AFC Rugby. ✅

Another pre season victory today as we came out on top against FC Courthouse, formerly Bar 8, in what is usually a closely contested fixture between the two sides.

Goals from Trialist A and Corey Cousins were enough to secure the win and make it another positive afternoon for the lads.

Apologies for the limited coverage from today’s fixture. We’ll be back properly next weekend as we face The Bank FC, formerly Webb Ellis, for the first time.

FULL TIME: AFC Rugby 3–2 Red Lion Hillmorton. ✅

A tight and evenly matched game this morning, with Red Lion taking a 2–0 lead inside the opening 30 minutes. Dan King got us right back into it, scoring twice inside a minute to send us into the break level.

The second half remained evenly contested, with both sides searching for the winner. Despite a number of injuries disrupting the game, we eventually found the decisive goal through Trialist A, who fired into the top corner from the edge of the box to secure the win.
