Pull-ups and neutral grip chin-ups aren’t the same thing.

Pull-ups (palms facing away) are harder. They demand more upper back strength, more shoulder mobility, and most people can’t do as many reps.

Neutral grip chin-ups (palms facing each other) are usually more beginner-friendly. They’re easier on the shoulders, feel more natural, and let you use your lats and biceps a little more effectively.

If you’re just starting your bodyweight strength journey, stop making it harder than it needs to be. Master neutral grip chin-ups first, build your strength, then earn your pull-ups.

The best exercise isn’t the hardest one. It’s the one that gets you stronger consistently.
