Our Active Schools Perth & Kinross team has launched a new Fitness 4 All Circuit Class for young people with physical, learning or sensory disabilities.

The focus is on having fun, staying active and feeling comfortable and included. No experience needed, just come along and give it a try.

We're going to be having free health checks at Dewars Centre, in partnership with Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS). Their team will carry out a blood pressure check, a cholesterol test (in the form of a finger prick test), a weight and height check, BMI calculation and waist measurement, all in one 40-minute appointment, open to anyone aged 18+.

You'll then sit down for a friendly one-to-one with a member of the team, who'll talk you through your results and share personalised lifestyle tips to support your long-term health.

It's a brilliant chance to check in with how your body's doing takes less than an hour and could tell you something genuinely useful about your health

Today saw the second day of the Tai Chi Instructors course that is being held at Dewars on selected Sundays over the next few months. Our wonderful instructor Iain Naylor is guiding over 20 people through the course. Tai Chi is one of our most popular classes here at Dewars and we were thrilled to be able to work with Iain to put this course on.

You'll lead and supervise our 'front of house' leisure service staff, while playing a full part in wider management functions including monitoring staff effectiveness, organising duties, budgetary control, health and safety, equipment maintenance, human resources, and sales and promotions.

If you have the skills and want to make a real contribution while enjoying personal development opportunities, this could be the perfect role for you!

A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is essential. A HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant subject is desirable, along with RLSS Trainer Assessor and Pool Plant Operator qualifications (to be obtained on appointment).

PVG Scheme Membership is required before starting.
