When John first joined Zenith, he’d never really felt comfortable in a gym.

“I found myself aimlessly exercising with no real goals or community to support me. The whole experience felt daunting and a bit lonely.”

Thankfully, his experience at Zenith has been “the polar opposite.” 💚

John has thrown himself into Small Group sessions, Event Training and Pack Workouts and has achieved things he never thought possible, including climbing up a rope four times and discovering that he actually loves skipping! 😄

Our community extends beyond the gym too. Recently, a few of our coaches visited John’s farm, where he patiently taught us how to shear sheep! 🐑

In John’s words:
“Zenith has given me the accountability and consistency to get my health back on track. It’s the best investment I have made in myself.”

We’re incredibly proud to have you as part of our Pack, John. 🐺💚

You are the most important person in your life.

That might sound selfish at first but it isn’t.

You have people you love.
People you want to care for.
People who need you.
People you would drop everything for.

But you can’t continually pour from a body and mind that have nothing left to give.

There will inevitably be difficult seasons in life.

Times when your family needs more from you.
When work becomes overwhelming.
When illness, grief, stress or something unexpected lands at your door.

You don’t get to choose when those moments arrive.

That’s why looking after yourself before you desperately need to matters so much.

💚Build the strong body now.
💚Work on your mental resilience now.
💚Create the healthy habits now.
💚Find the things that give your mind space now.
💚Build your support network now.

Because these things take time.

You don’t suddenly become physically, mentally and emotionally resilient the moment life becomes difficult.

You train for the hard times while life is relatively easy.

And remember: your health doesn’t only matter to you.

It matters to the people who love you too.

They want you to be healthy.
They want you to have energy.
They want you to feel happy, capable and strong.
They want you beside them for as long as possible.

Looking after yourself doesn’t take anything away from the people you love.

It’s an investment in your ability to keep showing up for them and to enjoy your life alongside them.

So give yourself permission to take the hour.

🔥Go to the gym.
🔥Go for the run.
🔥Take the walk.
🔥Get some sleep.
🔥Have the difficult conversation.
🔥Put your phone down.
🔥Spend time with people who make you feel good.

Whatever looking after you means... make it matter.

Don’t wait until you’re already running on empty to decide that your health is important.

Build your strength before you need to rely on it. 💚

Physically. Mentally. Emotionally.

And if you’re going through a tough time right now, hear this:

You don’t need to fix everything today. Just take the next small step, then another. You are stronger than this moment is making you feel. 💚

Stronger for Longer. 🐺

Not every workout needs to be about calories, PBs or getting fitter.

Sometimes movement is simply about giving your brain somewhere to breathe.

A run.
A walk.
Lifting weights.
Getting outside.
Leaving your phone behind for half an hour.

We spend so much of our lives consuming, scrolling, answering, working and thinking.

Sometimes one of the healthiest things we can do is create a little bit of space.

For me, running does that. 🏃‍♀️💚

What gives your brain space?

Every Saturday after our Dundee Outdoor session, there’s an unofficial final part of the workout…

Coffee. ☕😂

No reps. No timer. Just a chance to sit down, have a blether and spend some time together.

Because Outdoor Training has never just been about getting fitter.

It’s about getting outside, moving your body, having a laugh and being surrounded by good people. 🐺💚

What are you doing for YOUR self-care this week? 💚

Last night, I decided to book myself an hour for a swim and sauna.

Just me.

I didn’t ask anyone if they wanted to come. I didn’t make it into a social thing. I just booked it… and went by myself.

And it was exactly what I needed.

An hour where nobody needed anything from me.

No work. No conversations. No messages to reply to. No responsibilities.

Just my own space, my own thoughts and a little bit of time to breathe. 🧘‍♀️

I think sometimes we assume self-care has to be something big, or that we need to have a whole day to ourselves to make it worthwhile.

We don’t.

Sometimes an hour is enough. 💚

And there’s actually something really lovely about choosing to spend time completely by yourself.. not because you have to, but because you want to enjoy your own company.

I came away feeling calmer, clearer and like I’d actually done something just for me. 🙏

So this is your little reminder…

What are you doing for yourself this week?

Not for work.
Not for your family.
Not because somebody else needs you.

Just for you. 💚

Highly recommend the swim & sauna at Willowgate, by the way. 🏊‍♀️🧖‍♀️

Find yourself someone who supports your fitness journey… literally. 😂💚

Sabine & Jonny proving that training together doesn’t always have to be too serious! 🤣

One of the things we love most about Zenith is seeing couples, friends and family members training alongside each other.

You might have different goals.

Different abilities.

Different exercises.

But having someone beside you who encourages you, keeps you accountable and makes you laugh along the way can make all the difference. 💚

And apparently, sometimes that support comes in the form of a piggyback. 😂🐺

Stronger together. 💚

You don't have to choose between the hobbies you love and strength training. 💚

You might be a runner.
A cyclist.
A footballer.
A golfer.
A hillwalker.
Or someone who simply loves getting outdoors and moving.

Keep doing the things that make you happy.

I run because of what it does for my mental health. 🏃‍♀️

I strength train because I want my body to be as strong, healthy and capable as possible.

And the two don't have to compete.

Strength training can actually help you keep doing the things you love for longer.

Building and maintaining muscle.
Supporting strong bones.
Improving balance and stability.
Helping your body tolerate the demands you place on it.
And maintaining your physical independence as you get older.

Your favourite hobby might be the thing that gives you joy, clears your head or gives you something to work towards.

Strength training helps build the body that allows you to keep doing it.

So run. Cycle. Walk. Play your sport. Climb mountains. Do whatever makes you feel alive.

But alongside it, make time to get strong.

Because we're not strength training just to lift heavier weights in the gym.

We're strength training so we can keep doing everything else we love outside of it. 💚🐺

“I wouldn't even know where to start.”

We hear this ALL the time.

And if walking into a gym feels overwhelming, you're exactly the kind of person we built Zenith for. 💚

You don't need to know how to lift weights.
You don't need to understand what exercises you should be doing.
You don't need to already be fit.
And you definitely don't need to get fitter before joining us.

That's our job.

When you start at Zenith, we meet you exactly where you're at.

💚 We take the time to get to know YOU.
💚 We teach you how to perform movements safely and confidently.
💚 We adapt your training around your current ability, injuries or limitations.
💚 We help you understand what weights to use and when you're ready to progress.
💚 We introduce healthy habits gradually rather than asking you to change your entire life overnight.
💚 And perhaps most importantly, we make sure you never feel like you're figuring it all out alone.

We call it Focus On One Degree.

Instead of worrying about everything you think you should be doing, we help you focus on the next small thing that will make a difference.

At first, that might simply be:

Turn up 2-3 times a week.

That's it.

Then, as your confidence grows, we build from there.

Because we've watched so many people walk through our doors feeling nervous, intimidated and convinced that they weren't a "gym person"...

Only to eventually become some of the strongest, fittest and most confident members of our Pack. 🐺

You don't need confidence to start.

Sometimes you have to start to build the confidence. 💚

And we'll be right there to help you do it.

After having her second baby, pack member Siobhan knew she wanted to approach her return to exercise differently. 💪

Her C-section recovery felt slower this time, she had a toddler to run after, and after breaking her ankle around the same time she found out she was pregnant, she hadn’t been able to exercise throughout her pregnancy.

Rather than rushing back into running, biking and roller derby, Siobhan wanted to rebuild her body properly and come back stronger.

That’s where our postnatal classes came in. 💚

Siobhan joined us when baby Kirstin was just 7 weeks old.

“With my baby Kirstin being breastfed and without childcare support, I needed somewhere I could bring her with me. I also wanted to focus on lifting weights, with guidance to make sure I was progressing safely rather than trying to do too much too soon on my own.”

Fast forward to Kirstin being 6 months old, and while Mum trains, she’s now happily crawling around on the mat with her toys. 🥰

For Siobhan, having a session booked has also given her the accountability she needed:

“Even after a bad night’s sleep, when I’m tired or feeling a bit burned out with the two kids to look after, all I have to do is turn up and the coach helps me get through the session plan!”

And that consistency is paying off.

Siobhan has built her strength back up, lost weight sustainably and, most importantly, feels fitter, more energised and more like herself again.

“I’m proud of the strength I’ve built so far. I feel stronger now than I did before either of my pregnancies.”

We absolutely love this. 🙌

Because progress after having a baby isn’t about rushing to “bounce back”.

It’s about giving yourself the time, support and guidance to build back up safely and steadily and finding a way to make exercise work around real life.

As Siobhan puts it:

“Having a place where I can train alongside my baby has been invaluable — without that, fitting exercise into my life at this stage simply wouldn’t have been possible.”

Amazing work, Siobhan. We’re so proud to have you and little Kirstin as part of the Zenith pack. 💚🐺

What a day at the Braw Fitness Games! 💚🔥

Today we had an amazing group of Zenith members AND coaches taking on the Braw Fitness Games and every single person should be incredibly proud of themselves! 🐺

Events like this aren't just about podiums or finishing times. They're about challenging yourself, stepping outside your comfort zone, supporting the people around you and seeing what you're capable of. 💪

That being said… we do have some podiums to celebrate! 👀🏆

🥉 Emma & Annie — 3rd place females in their age category
🥉 Iain & John — 3rd place males in their age category
🥇 Coach Karen & Ben — 1st place mixed doubles in their age category AND the fastest mixed doubles team of the entire day! 🤯🔥

Absolutely incredible!

But our biggest well done goes to everyone who stepped onto that field today. Whether you came away with a podium patch or simply came away knowing you gave it everything you had, that's something to be proud of. 💚

We couldn't be prouder of our Pack.

Different goals. Different abilities. One Pack. 🐺💚
