The funny thing is, the people I work with are all very different…

Different ages.

Different jobs.

Different goals.

But they usually all have one thing in common.

At some point they’ve said one of these:

👉 “I don’t know where to start.”

👉 “I need accountability.”

👉 “I keep starting and stopping.”

👉 “I want to build confidence in the gym.”

👉 “I know what to do, I just struggle to stay consistent.”

And honestly… that’s normal.

You don’t have to be fit before you start.

You don’t have to have experience.

You just need a starting point and someone to help guide you along the way.

If you’ve been thinking about getting started, now is a great time to do it 💪

Most people don’t need a tougher workout.

They need structure, accountability, and someone to guide them when life gets busy.

That’s what coaching is really about.

Helping you build confidence, create habits that last, and make progress without fitness taking over your life.

If you’ve been wanting to get started but aren’t sure where to begin, I’d love to help.

It’s not just the physical results.
It’s how training makes them feel mentally.

After training, most people feel:
✔ less stressed
✔ clearer mentally
✔ more productive
✔ more confident
✔ better emotionally

Training gives people:
• structure
• routine
• time away from stress
• a sense of achievement

And psychologically, that matters a lot.

Even on difficult days, finishing a session can improve your mood and help reset your mindset.

That’s why fitness isn’t just about changing your body.

It often changes:
• energy
• confidence
• mindset
• overall wellbeing too

Sometimes the best workout is the one that clears your head.

One of the easiest nutrition changes you can make:

Add protein to every meal.

Protein helps:
✔ keep you fuller for longer
✔ support recovery
✔ maintain muscle
✔ reduce unnecessary snacking

It doesn’t need to be complicated.

Simple wins.

You don’t need to completely cut out foods you enjoy to lose weight.

The problem usually isn’t just one bad meal or dessert.

It’s:
• portion sizes
• never just the ONE
• over restricting yourself

You can enjoy foods you like AND make progress.

That’s what sustainability looks like.

One thing people don’t realise and that I get asked is why different gym machines and weights can feel completely different.

As an example 20kg dumbbell in one gym might feel harder than another or the handle may be thicker.
One leg press might feel heavier or lighter than the next.

That’s because:
• machine setups are different
• different cables will have different weight stacks
• movement paths change
• some equipment is smoother or feels better than others

So if something suddenly feels harder or easier — don’t panic.

The important thing is:
✔ maintain good technique
✔ keep consistent with following plan for exercises
✔ progressing over time

Not comparing one machine directly to another.

Focus on your own progress, not exact numbers across different equipment.

Train with control, focus on progression, and don’t overthink the numbers.

If you are using gyms or using a different gym as a one off make a note so you know what you did last time and to track your strength progress

Changing your workouts too often can slow your progress.

Stick to the basics, improve over time, and let consistency build strength.

Simple structure always beats random training.

So… we’re officially adults now because we’ve bought a house 🏠😂

Not going to lie, looking at the pictures, gym and nutrition definitely went a bit to s**t for a few days.

But honestly, with no food in the house because we didn’t want loads to move over… and no oven for 3 days… we definitely had our excuses to eat whatever was convenient 😂

Sweets, maccies, cheeky spoons, takeaways — easy, quick, and did bits, especially the pints😂

And it reminded me how easy it actually is to go off track.

But more importantly, how important it is to get back on track quickly.

Because once you get used to convenience and not having structure, it becomes really easy to keep making excuses and pushing it back another day.

You go from food being made for you and eating whatever’s easiest… to suddenly having to meal prep, cook again, and get yourself back into routine.

And honestly, that first week back can feel like a chore.

But that’s the important bit.

Life happens. Things get in the way. Routines get thrown off.

The key isn’t never slipping up — it’s being able to reset before temporary becomes permanent and build that momentum back again 💪
