Long Buckby RFC Long Buckby Rugby Football Club Long Buckby RFC are probably the oldest village rugby club in the country.

Founded in 1875, Long Buckby RFC are one of the oldest rugby clubs in the country and the oldest in the Northampton and Rugby area. We are a large part of the community, with players from all ages in mini, juniors, seniors, and veterans sections, with boy's, girl's, men's and women's teams.

It is with great sadness that we announce that former players at Long Buckby RFC, Dave Glanville and Geoff Ridgeway, have sadly passed away.

Geoff was a ho**er and played for the Club from 1969 to 74

Dave played for Long Buckby RFC from 1988 to 1996 and was a centre.

They can both be seen in photos on the team photo wall at the club.

Both Geoff and Dave will be fondly remembered by a lot of members and ex-players.

Please join us in sending sincere condolences to their families
