Our U7s really enjoyed themselves at the Parklands Tigers FC tournament this weekend. Coach Gavin had this to say about their big day "Our U7’s were competing in only their second ever tournament at parkland tigers, started off sleepy but grew into it as the day went on, and they loved it."

Our U10s took part in the Towcester Town Football Club junior tournament yesterday. Finishing 3rd in the league and progressing to the 'Cup' knockout stages.
Being a year, they went with tradition and were unfortunately knocked out on penalties in the semi-finals, only conceding 3 goals in 8 games.

Well done team U10s, the coaches couldn't be more proud of you.

From the start of the 2026/27 season, the FAs new "FutureFit" pathway will reshape how young players progress through the game, with smaller formats, starting at 3v3 for U7s and 11v11 football delayed until U14.

The aim? To promote: More touches. More decision making. More involvement. These are clearly positives for the younger players, but it comes with knock-ons as well. More pitches. More coaches. Older players on smaller pitches.

Whatever your role in football, these changes will affect every grassroots team over the coming years.
