Honoured to represent Discover Your Drive over the weekend competing in Round 2 of the British Championship.

Saturday we worked hard in the heats and started the final on Pole, leading the final up to the last lap but a momentary lapse of concentration meant we had to settle for 🥈.

Sunday was a little more intense in the heats and we started the final in 3rd with the lead changing hands repeatedly over the 15 minutes. A few mistakes on our part but happy to settle for 4th after penalties in front of us.

Overall lots left to learn in this new engine class but happy to say we head into the remaining two rounds at the top of the leaderboard 🥳

British Kart Championship Rounds 1&2

Saturday Round 1
Qualified Double Pole for the heats and started P2 in the final. Probably some of the worst driving standards we’ve seen to date and we ended up in P12 with fastest lap in the final and for the event.

Sunday Round 2
Qualified P3 and P12 in the heats and started P3 in the final. Dropped a few places but clawed our way back up to the leader bringing the others with us 4 laps from the end but had it thrown in our face yet again. P5 in the end with plenty of lessons learned and still holding the events fastest lap.

Had some fun full filling our media duties with and encouraging more girls to come into the sport too 😊.

Round 2

Missed Friday practice but made up for it during Saturdays sessions and managed to qualify 3rd for Sundays finall after the heats. Constant battles throughout the final meant the front two got away but happy to come away with 🥉 as we head into the first round of the this weekend.

Round 2

A difficult qualifying session (18th overall) and only one good heat result early on in the week meant a good Superheat was our only option and we managed to get 4th on Saturday morning.

Starting 10th in the final a mistake on lap one sent us onto the grass and down to 33rd at this early stage. What happened next is still a blur but we simply never gave up the fight achieving a 4th place finish missing out on a podium by 0.031 seconds. We now stand 4th in the championship with two more rounds to go.

Special mention to ‘Queenie’ for consoling Sukhmani after some harsh chauvinistic words by another driver, you know who you are ‘soft lad’🇨🇭

Championship Round 1 - Final P4

Mixed conditions all weekend so adaptability was key. Got stuck in traffic during qualifying but made it back in the heats. Chased the leaders down in the final, getting up to 2nd on the final lap but left the door open and had to settle for 4th.

A challenging weekend for us in the new British series at the famous 🇬🇧

Lots learned by driver and team in terms of the IAME OK engine and different chassis set ups to take forward into the next rounds.

Super happy to represent and meet our fellow drivers on the programme who all survived very tricky driving conditions so well done to you all.

Best thing of all, my fam turned up to support 🙏🏽😊

We’re in 4th place at this early stage in the championship so we’ll need to up our game a little for the rest of the season.
