Second race weekend in the X30 and it was a sunny one at Whilton โ˜€๏ธ

Strong grid

Qualy - P13
Heat 1 - P13โžก๏ธP9
Heat 2 - P13โžก๏ธP11
Final - P10โžก๏ธP9

Considering we haven't done much time in the class and on a tough grid we were really happy with the weekend. Showed some great pace and always closer to those in front of us than those behind.

Huge thanks to Scott for running me Saturday morning (Dad was at my brothers football โšฝ๏ธ) and to my Mom for taking me and watching through her fingers ๐Ÿ˜‚

Big thanks to Danny and the OMS awning for having me for the weekend, great to be in the awning with (congrats on a clean sweep! ๐Ÿ†) and

Now for an engine rebuild and some practice ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’จ

First weekend in X30 ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’จ

After only 3 days in the kart we found ourselves at Whilton for Round 1 of the Championship.

Decent pace, learning new tyres etc.

Quali - P16. After showing pace that should've put us in the top 10, we went out at the back as our first time on these tyres from new. Should've gone from the front, spent all of quali overtaking and getting slowed down in corners.

Heat 1 - P16. Went forward, lost the tyre, went back, then went forwards again at the end. Double dropdown (!) Put us back to P20.

Heat 2 - would've had P10 but our first ever DSQ for the tiniest amount of chain l**e making it's way into the clutch drum.

Final - P25-P15 after dropdown. Great pace, only a couple tenths needed (and a better starting position) would've seen us mix it in the top 6 but great drive in a class which we have done considerably less in than anyone else on the grid.

Big thanks to Scott and Ross ๐Ÿ”ด

Well done to for mega pace all weekend ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’จ

Great to be back on track with my mate ๐ŸŸ

Great to see and all showing great pace in inter too ๐Ÿ”ฅ

X30 here I come ๐Ÿ˜Ž

WMKC Round 2

Quali - P4
Heat 1. Pressures a bit high meant we lost pace towards end of race - P6
Heat 2. Starter motor failed. DNS
Final - P15. Had work to do due to DNS, up to 8th on final corner of 1st lap. Hit off, dropped to back, worked back up to 10th and then had to avoid another kart at final corner, hit the wet patch and ended up in a puddle. Still managed to finish the race with pace to put me in the top 5 battle.

Still waiting on that luck ๐Ÿ€

Big congrats to on P1 ๐Ÿ† on P2 and on P3 and some mega pace

Big thanks to

Not a great weekend at PFI

Qualifying is average of 3 best laps with enough time to put 4 in including the outlap. After lap 2 we were on pole. Got smashed off, still pulled it back to P7 with the wheel stuck on the bumper. Dropdown meant best lap deleted so P17.
Heat 1. Beached it on formation lap. So gave all other 27 karts a 3/4 lap headstart, same pace as leaders but only could pull back to P25.
Heat 2, got to drive without being smashed. P17-P9. By the time we got to front of midpack, front pack had already gone and we were only 0.3 off pulling the stragglers from that pack in by the time we got to the flag.
Final P17- P11. In race 5 second penalty put us to P15. Went wrong sprocket but had to try something to get on the front pack early. Worked, but in clean air we couldn't shake P11 and 12 behind and they weren't willing to play the long game to catch the front pack so got caught in a race long battle instead of breaking away like we would've on a different sprocket.

We've got some great pace and make some brilliant moves but need to start making our own luck.

Huge thanks as always to

Great pace all weekend on a strong grid but need to learn to keep calm in certain situations.

Quali: P5. Caught a slower driver on our last flying lap when we were 3 tenths up.
Heat 1: P4. Was in P2 most of the race but compounded 1 mistake with another at the next corner and let the 2 team drivers working together behind me get a tow. Have to learn to just let a mistake go.
Heat 2: P4 (P7 after dropdown penalty) once again made silly mistakes at the start fighting for positions instead of just pushing on, ended up behind and gave him the signal that I wouldn't overtake and to push so managed to push through and with another lap we both would've overtaken P2 too.
Final: P5-P7. See video. Great start, up to P3, pushed onto grass and dropped to P13, fought back to P7 and still only 3 seconds off P2, definitely had podium pace and consistency if not for incident at the start but that's racing sometimes.

Big shout out to Spike ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’จ

So that's P4 in the championship for us, pace earlier in the season might have seen us fighting for a higher position.

Huge congratulations goes to my mate on P1๐Ÿ† in the championship. Most consistent driver in the class by a mile at this track all year. Thoroughly deserved. Well done to on P2 and on P3... Good luck in junior next year! Also congratulations to on P5 and on P6... definitely one to watch next season ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ

Great to be back on track with my mate Jacob too, showing great pace for his first race weekend in Inter

The one where it came together.

Whilton Mill Round 7

A lot of hard work starting to pay off. Engine back from was the last piece of the puzzle. Huge thanks to Spike for getting it ready for this weekend ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ

Quali: P2
Heat 1: P2 and fastest lap
Heat 2: P3 (P5 after penalty)
Final: P2 and fastest lap ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’จ

Really mature drive in the final after losing places right at the start, some great overtakes and a calm drive saw me take the 2nd place my weekend had deserved.

Huge thanks to Alan Hoyle and big congratulations to my team mate on the win. Well done to on completing the podium. Looking forward to PF next weekend.
