People always talk about discipline > motivation… But they never tell you how to get back on track. 👇

We all have dips in motivation, chaotic life, lack of sleep, mental fatigue, hormonal fluctuations it all affects how you feel about training. 🫩

The first thing I do when I’m in a rut is remind myself: it might take a week or two until you get that ‘I’m back!’ feeling 😀 that moment when training finally feels like it’s going well again.

And stop waiting to feel motivated, not every session will go perfectly and very few of them will. Every session you do helps you a little bit more.

get your first pull-up. 💪 ✨

Not because it’s the coolest skill/exercise, but because pulling strength is sooo important for calisthenics and will help you achieve so much more than JUST a pull-up.🥹

So few women can actually do a pull-up not because they aren’t capable but because their training just doesn’t build the strength for it.

Cringey audio but it’s true… Because a gym with good equipment is just part of the experience. What really makes it is the culture ☺️⬇️

- A place where you can train in whichever way without being judged. 🏋️🤸🏼🥊🚵
- Where the people are friendly but not OVER friendly 👀
- Where everyone wants to keep the gym tidy out of respect for the staff and the members (puts their weights away)
- Where people help each other out instead of just leaving them confused
- People celebrate each other’s wins. 🥇

It should be an experience, a place where you look forward to going.

The difference between people treating the gym like it’s theirs, rather than someone else’s problem. 🥹

One of the things I love most about working at Athlete Movement is the culture that’s been built there.👌

Whether you’re brand new or have years of training experience, everyone is treated with the same level of respect.

And when you combine great coaching with a great community, people tend to train better, harder, stay more consistent, and enjoy it so much more.
