After enjoying today's matches at Headley Youth Football, Dan Magness from Magiq Football is putting on his 'Master the Ball' coaching roadshow, a 4 week course starting from next Friday, 18th September. This is to complement players' respective team sessions with a focus on developing confidence on the ball and all-round ability.

Football is back...if it ever went away! After a number of successful Hampshire cup matches last week, tomorrow marks the first full weekend back for all of our teams, including a busy day of fixtures at Headley Youth Football HQ. Additionally, CM Sports returns with our Hedgehog session back for the younger ones, 9.30am-10.30am.
The tuck shop will be open serving hot and cold food and drinks.
Dan Magness Football Freestyler from Magiq Football will also be in attendance to check out the silky skills on display and will be available to discuss all the exciting projects he has coming up that will be available to all players, as well as their friends and families.

**Keeping Our Young People Safe 💛🖤**

At Headley Youth FC, safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

The FA and NSPCC have published guidance on **managing lower-level concerns within clubs and leagues**.

A lower-level concern is any worry, doubt or feeling of unease that someone may have behaved in a way that doesn’t meet the standards expected within football — even if, initially, it may seem minor.

Examples can include:

⚽ Treating players unfairly or showing favouritism
⚽ Bullying, inappropriate language or behaviour
⚽ Putting performance ahead of a player’s wellbeing
⚽ Inappropriate communication with young people
⚽ Failure to follow safeguarding procedures
⚽ Adults not showing appropriate respect towards players, officials or others

**The important message is: if something doesn’t feel right, please speak up.**

A concern does not automatically mean that someone has done something wrong. It means the concern should be listened to, recorded and considered fairly and appropriately. The FA guidance stresses that concerns should not simply be ignored because they appear minor.

At Headley Youth FC, concerns can be raised through the club so they can be dealt with appropriately and, where necessary, referred to the County FA.

Raffle Winners and The Numbers Revealed!

What an incredible End of Season Tournament, and the raffle was a huge part of that. Here’s the full picture:

£1,340.88 goes directly back to Headley Youth FC — straight into the club for our young players.

THE NUMBERS

With 250 registered players, each asked to find just 10 sponsors at £5, our target was 2,500 tickets worth £12,500.

We had 199 unique entries, nearly 80% of our club families got involved, and sold 537 tickets, generating a pot of £2,681.75. That’s 21.5% of our target.

The support was special, but just imagine what we could achieve next year if every player hits their target.

Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, shared the link, and backed the club.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported, played, bounced, ate, drank, cheered, booed, purchased raffle tickets, used the bins and engaged with today’s tournament.

It was a huge success for the club and a positive step for the future.

A few weeks before the 8 year tenure of Keith as Youth Chairman is complete, but echoing his words of support for the manager’s, coaches and club volunteers that continue to provide selfless commitment to youth football at the club.

A community club that provides a platform for over 250+ players across 10 age groups to play football in a safe and organised environment is a real legacy to be proud of.

Drop off your unwanted football kit, boots, shin pads, training gear, sports clothing and equipment at the Swop Shop, and help give it a second home.

Outgrown or simply no longer needed, another player in the club could make great use of it.

The Swop Shop is open to all players and families across the club community.

Take what you need. Donate what you can.

Located in the FanZone this Saturday!
