Ripon Sailing Club

Ripon Sailing Club The Family Friendly Sailing Club The intention of these early members was that it should be a "Family Club" with good fellowship as well as good sailing.

Ripon Sailing Club was formed by a group of enthusiasts from the Ripon area in 1957, sailing initially on the river Ure at Langthorpe, Nr Boroughbridge. We are pleased to say that this is still the aim today, and the number of youngsters and families sailing at Farnham is testimony to that.

Supernova & Streaker open at RSC.
Committee member Nick Collins wrote:
We had a successful day at the Supernova and Streaker open , 17 Supanova boats raced with 9 visiting boats and 8 club boats , Martin Barrett was the leading club boat and Will Crocker from North Lincs won overall .
Ian Priest won the streaker open from a fleet of 12, consisting mainly of club members and one visitor .

All the visitors said how much they enjoyed the event and thanks to Bernard Clarke RO and the safety boat team plus Jill Hewitt for some excellent catering.
Many visitors said they would like to come back next year and for the Supanova fleet it was important race practice ahead of the National Championships in Filey next month.
