Training this morning for P1 & P2 is cancelled due to the weather.

At this moment all other age groups are still running. We will update this post if anything changes.

What a fantastic turnout for our come and try session 🤩. It was great to see some new faces and we can’t wait to welcome you all back next week for our usual training sessions which have resumed for all groups.

Just a reminder for any new children who have joined, we use the SPOND app to communicate with parents regarding fixtures, subscriptions etc. please download this, create an account and use the code MLJZM to join the Jedforest Mini Rugby group.

No previous experience necessary, just come along and have fun.

Open to any child in P1-P7.

🏉🏉P3 Coaches 🏉🏉

Good news, we now have coaches for our P3 age group. Big thank you for the parents who came forward to offer help, it’s much appreciated.

P3 training will commence soon, please see SPOND for details.

We would also love to see some new faces in the P3 group so if there are any children who would like to play but not sure if they will like it, then please feel free to come along to our come and try session on the 23rd August at 10am at Riverside park.

🏉 P3 Parent Coach Needed – Can You Help? 🏉

As things currently stand, we still don’t have a parent coach for our P3 age group for the upcoming season.

Jed Jags Mini Rugby is a parent-run club, and we simply can’t provide training and tournament opportunities without the support of volunteers.

For our P3s to train and take part in festivals and tournaments this season, we urgently need one or more parents to step forward and help coach.

No previous coaching experience is necessary – support and guidance will be available. If you’d like to find out more about what’s involved, please get in touch. We’d be happy to answer any questions.

⏰ Training is due to start a week today, but unfortunately we won’t be able to begin P3 training unless we have parent volunteers in place.

If you can help, or know someone who might be interested, please send us a message. Even sharing this post could help us find the right person.

Well done Brian from all at Jed Mini Rugby 👏🏻

Jed Thistle would like to congratulate our very own Brian Colvine who this evening picked up the Jethart Callant’s Club Sports Cup for his outstanding contribution to Youth Rugby.

He has spent 30 years at Jed Thistle, and we are indebted to his dedication and commitment.

Well done from everyone at Jed Thistle Brian.
