Let's get this park built.

If you are interested in helping raise funds to build the skatepark come along to a meeting at the jedburgh callants club room next to the health centre on Tuesday the 14th June at 7 pm.

We need help to raise a lot of money so if like me you want to see this skatepark built, get to the meeting.

As you all know massive steps have already been taken to get this project this far . Let's finish it!

Plans for a controversial skatepark have been approved by Scottish Borders Council despite several complaints from neighbouring residents. The proposed site for the £200,000 project is near Jedburgh Town Centre. Jenny Longden reports.

Each and everyone of you who came on the sponsored bike ride yesterday deserve a massive round of applause for your time and dedication in helping to raise funds and supporting the Jed Skatepark Project....and a huge thank you to all the pe
ople who sponsored the riders.....once all the monies have been collected and handed in I will let you have the final figure, but it is estimated that we have raised at least £600.....we can now apply for planning permission....fantastic work....onwards and upwards.....

Craig here again.
I am planning to arrange a small sponsored cycle, see attached map. Leave Howdenburn School - Crailinghall - Cappuck - Scraesburgh - Mossburnford - Ferniehirst - Howden Farm back to Howdenburn School = 11 miles in total.
As this will be using public roads, I must limit this to kids in primary 6 and above.
I hope to arrange this for Saturday 10th November 1pm to allow for football training, School rugby, Hockey etc. If you are interested, please let me know and I will send you a sponsor form. I am also very keen to hear from parent helpers to ride with the children (Sponsored of course) and to help with water stops and road marshalling etc. If you can help out, let me know.
Let’s get this fund raising nailed and planning submitted.

The Jed skatepark project is now looking to invite individuals to become official members of "Jed Skate Park". If you would like to apply for a free membership please email Sally at [email protected] with your name, address and date of birth. Thanks.
Without official members we wont be able to get the funding needed to build our Skatepark.( funders require that we have official members, not just fb supporters unfortunately)

MEETING

Monday 20th August 6pm
Kenmore Hall

This is a meeting for all supporters of the skatepark, young and old.
Please come to the meeting on your bikes, scooters, skateboards and skates. ( parents and old school riders are also welcome, so dust off those skateboards and retro BMXs ! )
I will be letting the press know we are having this meeting, and photos will be taken, so if you do not want your childs photo taken please let me know at the meeting.

Spread the word......without you there is no skatepark, so lets make this happen.
