Jedburgh Border Games The blue riband athletics event in the Scottish Borders. The games commence on Saturday 13th July.

We are missing a few trophies needed for this year's games. If anyone has a trophy from last year or any year before can you please return it by 12 noon on Saturday to either riverside on Saturday or Kayleigh at 22 priors meadow.

The Peter Hoggs will be running from Howden Road / Lothian road crossroads. Bus station and down to riverside.

CASH ONLY ON THE GATE!

Please bring hats, suncream and fluids - bar is open for other refreshments.

Jedburgh Borders Games are saddened to share the news of the passing of ex president Kenneth Hogg.

Kennie was a valued committee member for many years, he worked tirelessly behind the scenes developing and maintaining the Jedburgh Border Games website ensuring that the history of the Games was available for all to see.

Current president Keith Lyall would like to send his most sincere condolences to Kennies family and thanks for the many years of time and committed given by kennie.

Kennies funeral details as follows.

Castlewood Cemetery on Friday 28th November at 11:30am.

All members of the committee and public are welcome to attend.

The official results are in. Thank you to every single one of you who made the day happen! Committee, officials, volunteers, athletes and spectators.

Yesterday was a huge success and we hope you all enjoyed the day.

It was a difficult day with the heat, probably one of the hottest ever Jedburgh Games to date!

Tomorrow the Borders Athletics circuit moves to Riverside Park, Jedburgh with a Noon start.

A word of caution as the weather is forecast to be very warm. β˜€οΈβ˜€οΈβ˜€οΈβ˜€οΈ

A message to everyone attending and in particular the competing athletes:

* Keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

* Use Sunscreen.

* Wear a hat if you need to.

This year brings a more family friendly games! We have a free bouncy castle and face painting for all children. It weathers looking great, why not come along for a family day out at Riverside Park this Saturday and enjoy a fantastic day of athletics.
