This is the official page for Bury Rangers Girls & Womens Teams FC. We are based in the Hertford and Ware area, and we cater for girls from 5 to 18 and open aged Ladies Team. We are the only club with accredited Fa Standard Charter Community Club status in East Herts

We play in the Hertfordshire Girls Football Partnership League & The Beds & Herts Womens League.

🏆🏆🏆 Cup Winners 🏆🏆🏆

The U10 Lions 2026/2027 pre-season got off to the perfect start at the Evergreen Youth tournament this weekend. There were very little signs of rust as the girls got off to a blistering start.

Game 1 v Evergreen Doves: The honour of the first goal went to Hope, but was quickly followed by a brace from Penny as the Lions showed great attacking threat throughout. Stella also continued her excellent form in goals.

Game 2 v Hemel Aces Cheetahs: a single goal from Penny towards the end of the game was enough to put the Lions into a great position as the girls showed they can be a tough team to beat.

Game 3 v Evergreen Eagles: The girls were hitting top gear as the goals flowed from Ruby, Phoebe and Val, with the latter coming on the end of a wonderful passing move as every Lion touched the ball from the keeper.

Game 4 v Bedwell: A fiery contested game saw the Lions score two quick goals through Penny and Phoebe, but Bedwell would also see success from poorly defended corners.

Final v Bedwell: The girls saved their best performance to last and showed amazing grit and concentration to stifle a very good team. The match highlight was provided by Lucy, who scored a wonderful goal towards the end to ensure the Lions would all enjoy a very successful first tournament of the season.

Under 8s Match Report

A tough game for a mix of Lions and Tigers against a very strong Bengeo side, who had an absolute superstar leading the way with some incredible finishes. I think it's the first time I've seen so many goals fly into the top corner at this level!

A reminder that we still have plenty of work to do. Judging by the first half, a few of them looked like they were still on the beach... ⛱️😅 .... Hill training might be making a comeback! 🤷

A real bright spot was Lottie's close-range poacher's finish, followed by her trademark celebration, which brought some much-needed sunshine to a wet and gloomy and cold morning.

The girls worked hard until the last moment, which saw Cara tap in the final kick of the game after her initial shot came crashing back off the post.

Aim is to work harder, and come back stronger. The only way is up, and there's a really exciting season ahead for this group. 💙⚽️📈

A mixed side from our u13s took on our friend over at Donkey Lane in what turned out to be a very wet and cold affair.

Not to be deturbed we made a solid start and carved out a number of chances. The girls had listened and taken on board the instruction before we kicked off and it was pleasing to see. The opening came from Keziah bursting from midfield and picking out Eloise in the box for a clinical finish.

As the half wore on we rang the changes to get others minutes in their legs and looked at a new partership up front between T and Sumaya who did well but the ball just wasnt falling for them. Enfield forced a couple of good saves from Miley

Second half and the game became a more open affair which was to our benefit and Raya was pulling the strings in midfield playing with intensity and vision set up three goals Mabs calm with her finished and Eloise showing her clinical side. Olivea was having a barn storming game down the right playing as wing back at times which just gave us an over load time and again.

Enfield grabbed the goal of the game before the end with a thunderbolt from range.

Gabby, Jessica, Fiadh and Indi all had solid games and did the basics well. Sumaya showed her combative side when we dropped her into midfield. Evie showed some good strength up front and T and Mabs also went close to adding to the tally.

Bit disjointed at times but to be expected but in equal measure there was some great sequences of play as well.

Yesterday saw our final rec league game against Harpenden Colts Rec. It was a fantastic team performance with a win confirming Bury as finishing first place in the rec league!🏆

A really solid team performance from start to finish, with every individual playing to their best. We were first to the ball, determined in every challenge, communicating brilliantly and working hard for each other.
The passing and pressing was excellent, and we created chance after chance. Harpenden played a high line which caught us offside on a few occasions, but we kept our composure and continued to play our football. A game full of goals and a fantastic final team performance.

Most importantly a huge thank you to this league for giving our players the opportunity to play regular competitive matches. For many of our players, getting consistent match experience was a rarity before this league, and it has made such a difference to their confidence, development and enjoyment of the game. Being able to test ourselves against other great teams, enjoy some friendly competition and experience the highs and challenges of match days has been invaluable. We’re so grateful to everyone involved in making that possible❤️

First Half

A good start to the game with high pressure on the opposition which resulted in chances and Poppy goal was spectacular which was a top corner first time finish. We kept on making chances but couldn’t get the right finish to result in a goal. But good passing movements and running from the girls.

Second half

The girls fatigue resulted in Biggleswade getting good chances which made them score 2 good goals and a simple tap in but the girls kept fighting and running to try and get an equaliser. Later on in the game we got a lucky penalty that was given to Sumaya but unfortunately a great save from their Gk.

Pre-season friendly versus Bedwell last night. Lots of goals, lots to think about and an eclipse.

Our Ladies side kick off their season having won Herts and Beds League 2 last season and having been promoted to League 1 away to familiar opponents EB Lions before a hone game against Stotfold to kick the season.

Our County Cup tie starts in October against again familiar opponents Bedwell in a home all Rangers Derby

Delighted to confirm that Hearts for Herts Charity have now made live our fundraised Defib and Bleed Kit at Presdales Recreation Ground.

Hopefully never needed but if it is will surely save a life and give people peace of mind as well for all those who use the area
