A client joined the Leader 365 programme at the start of the year after trying for years to get where he wanted to be on his own.
Like a lot of men, heād have periods where things were going well. Heād be training, eating better, making progress, and then life would get busy and heād find himself back in old habits.
When we first spoke, he told me that old habits would creep in whenever work became hectic. His nutrition became reactive. The routine he had would slip. Before he knew it, heād be frustrated that he wasnāt where he wanted to be. The cycle kept repeating itself.
Fast forward to now and heās 14kg down, in great shape, and feeling at the top of his game.
But this isnāt just about losing weight.
What Iām most proud of is the way heās showing up for himself. Heās more consistent than heās ever been.
Heās training regularly, following a structured plan, and has even taken up running. His fitness is improving week by week, and weāre already looking at getting his first 10K booked in soon.
A big part of that has come from the Menās Running Club and the structure we have inside Leader 365.
One thing that really stands out was a conversation we had during one of our coaching calls. We started talking about some of the things that were holding him back, and one pattern kept coming up.
He was being reactive with his nutrition.
Once we identified it, everything started to make more sense. There was a real lightbulb moment when he realised that although work and life can be busy, heās still in control of the decisions he makes each day.
That shift changed everything.
Because the truth is, you can get results with a busy job, family commitments, and the pressures of everyday life.
You just need an approach that works for you rather than against you.
The 14kg loss is a fantastic result, but what excites me most is that heās built habits and routines that support the life he wants to live.
Heās no longer relying on motivation.
Heās building consistency.
