Lately, someone mentioned that I don’t teach many classes in the studio anymore.
The truth is, I’ve been keeping
The Journey Yoga moving behind the scenes, keeping the studio alive, doing admin, planning, outreach, workshops, retreats, corporate, much more and all the quiet moments that let you walk in and breathe.
What I’ve learned is, growing a studio isn’t just filling hours on a calendar. It’s about sustaining a living practice that invites real people to show up as they are. I’m not away from the mat. I’m right there with you, every moment of the week, making room for nourishment, community, and growth.
There’s a soft tension - Yoga can drift into noise, the branding, the trends, the performance. It’s easy to mistake polish for truth.
But the heart of yoga isn’t a perfect pose or a viral post. It’s the breath you feel in your body, the calm that follows a long exhale, and the courage to meet yourself with kindness, exactly where you are.
At The Journey Yoga, we choose a different path:
We guard the breath, the body, and the moment, the living practice that happens on the mat, not just in a feed.
We offer spaces, not stories, where you can arrive tired, curious, or a little broken open, and leave a bit more whole.
We cultivate presence, patience, and connection, inside the studio and beyond, so yoga remains a way of living well, not a trend to chase.
Teachers, if you’ve felt the pull between building a brand and keeping the heart of yoga alive, you’re not alone.
This is the space we protect, the real, human journey of practice.
I will be stepping back into the classroom more, and I'll be speaking with you, listening to your needs, and shaping classes and offerings to give everyone what they truly need, from philosophy talks and depth approaches to accessible practices for every one (so watch this space).
The Journey Yoga is committed to that choice, today, tomorrow, always.
