Hi 👋 everyone 🧘‍♀️

🌿 This Week in Yoga: Lower Back, Hips & Hamstrings 🌿

This week we continue to gently focus on the lower back, hips, and hamstrings — the areas that support so much of our daily movement. When these muscles are tight or overworked, they can place extra pressure on the sciatic nerve, so our practice will include postures that help create space, ease tension, and support healthier mobility.

We’ll move slowly, with mindful breath, exploring stretches that eases the hamstrings, soften the hips, and bring warmth into the lower back. These simple, steady postures can be deeply beneficial for anyone who experiences sciatic discomfort or stiffness through the legs and hips.

As always, we’ll work at a calm pace, listening to the body and allowing it to open gradually.
If you are thinking to try yoga you are welcome, everyone practice to their own abilities 🌞🧘‍♀️

Hi 👋 everyone 🧘‍♀️

🌿 This Week in Yoga: Lower Body Awareness 🌿

This week we’re bringing gentle, steady attention to the legs, hamstrings, and hips — the foundation that carries us through every step of daily life. When these areas are nurtured, the whole body feels more supported, grounded, and open.

Our practice will focus on slow stretches, using straps.. mindful strengthening, and spacious movements that help release tightness in the hamstrings, ease the hips, and create length through the legs. These postures encourage healthier circulation, better mobility, and a sense of stability from the ground up.

We’ll move with patience, breath, and curiosity — letting the lower body soften, awaken, and reconnect.
If you are thinking of starting yoga practice you are welcome to join us🙂🧘‍♀️

Hi👋 everyone yoga 🧘‍♀️

This week’s sequence is designed to prepare us for Shoulderstand and Plough Pose.
We’ll begin with shoulders strech with straps and arm warm-ups, gradually increasing strength, flexibility, and support through the upper body.

The aim is to create space across the chest, stability through the shoulders, and a calm, steady breath as we explore the inversions.

Join me for a thoughtful, well-supported practice 🙂 🙏

Hi 👋 everyone yoga 🧘‍♀️

🌿 This Week in Yoga: Heart Opening & Side‑Body Freedom 🌿

This week’s full‑body practice focuses on creating space through the heart, length through the side body, and ease through the spine. We’ll move gently but deeply, exploring how side‑bending postures can unlock flexibility and release tension where many of us hold tightness.

Expect slow, spacious movements that target:
- The side lower back, helping to ease stiffness and improve mobility
- The side ribs and waist, encouraging fuller, more expansive breathing
- The upper shoulders, releasing the habitual tension that gathers there
- The front of the chest, opening the heart and lifting the posture

It’s a sequence designed to help the whole body feel longer, lighter, and more open — perfect for anyone wanting to improve spinal movement and soften shoulder tightness.

A calm, nourishing practice to help you breathe more freely and move with greater ease.

✨ See you on the mat 🙏

Hi 👋 everyone! 🧘‍♀️

🌿 This Week in Yoga: Creating Space Through Backbends 🌿

This week’s practice is all about backbends — gentle, supportive movements that open the front of the body and help the whole spine feel longer and more alive.

We’ll focus on creating space across the chest, softening tightness through the shoulders, and lengthening the entire front body. By opening the hip flexors, we allow the back to extend naturally without strain, giving the spine room to lift and breathe.

As we strengthen the spinal muscles, we bring fresh oxygen into the area, improve circulation, and support healthier, easier breathing. Expect slow transitions, mindful activation, and postures that help you feel open, energised.

See you on the mat 🙏 🙂

Hi👋 everyone! 🧘‍♀️

🌿 This Week in Yoga: Core Strenght & Stability, Open Hips & Spacious Twists 🌿

This week we continue strengthening the core and bringing stability to the hips, creating a strong foundation for the whole body. From that grounded base, we’ll explore gentle spinal twists to release tension, improve mobility, and support healthy movement through the lower back.

We’ll also open the chest, arms, and shoulders, inviting more space for breath and easing tightness that builds up from daily habits.
Expect slow, strong transitions, mindful activation, and postures that help you feel centred, supported, and open from the inside out.

A calm, balanced practice to nourish strength and softness together.
See you on the mat 🙂 🙏

Hi👋 everyone welcome back to yoga after a short break 😀 🧘‍♀️

🌿 This Week in Yoga: Core Strength, Hips & Low‑Back Support 🌿

This week we’re focusing on the powerful connection between the core, hips, and lower back. When these areas work together, the whole body feels more supported, stable, and at ease.

Our practice will blend gentle core activation with mindful hip opening to help create space through the lower back and improve overall mobility. Expect steady movements, slow transitions, and postures that strengthen from the centre while releasing tension around the hips and pelvis.

A calm, balanced practice to help you feel grounded, supported, and spacious from the inside out.

Everyone practice to their own abilities so beginners always welcome 🙏 🙂

Hi 👋 everyone! 🧘‍♀️

🌿 This Week in Yoga: Core Awareness & Lower Body Support 🌿

This week we’re bringing deeper awareness to the core muscles that support the lower back, helping us move with more stability and ease. We’ll continue to focus on the lower body, gently opening and strengthening the hips, legs, and glutes to create a steady foundation for the whole spine.

We’ll finish our practice with seated twists, inviting the body to settle, release tension, and return to a grounded, centred state.

Beginners welcome 🙏

See you on the mat 🙂

Hi👋 everyone this week in Yoga practice 🧘‍♀️
We turn our attention to the psoas abd the illiacus, both part of the hip flexors that shape how we stand and move. Sitting long-term can pull our pelvis out of alignment affecting our posture, stability and ease of movement.
When they’re tight, we may feel lower‑back tension, hip discomfort, or a sense of being “compressed” through the front body. When they’re released and strengthened, the whole body feels more spacious, grounded, and supported.
A calm, steady practice that supports the lower back, hips, and overall sense of ease in the body.

Yoga classes available in the People centre, Seaton Carew, Greatham and Hart Village hall 🧘‍♂️ 🙂
