What a Day at the National Youth Omnium! 🚴‍♂️🏆

We are incredibly proud of the National Youth Omnium event we hosted on Sunday at Middlesbrough Velodrome.

Our collaboration with NE Cycling CIC helped deliver what we genuinely believe was the best event we have ever run. From start to finish, the day showcased everything that is great about youth cycling – commitment, sportsmanship, determination, and a fantastic atmosphere both on and off the track.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make the event possible. To our volunteers, officials, coaches, parents, supporters, and the team behind the scenes – your hard work and dedication are what allow events like this to happen, and we can’t thank you enough for your support.

Most importantly, thank you to all of the riders who travelled from across the country to compete. You put on a brilliant day of racing and represented youth cycling at its very best. The standard of competition was outstanding, and it was fantastic to see so many young riders giving their all and supporting one another throughout the day.

Congratulations and good luck to all the riders who have now qualified for the National Omnium Finals. We wish you every success. To everyone else, we wish you the very best for the remainder of the season and look forward to following your progress.

This event marks another exciting step forward, and we’re already looking ahead to hosting even bigger and better events in partnership with NE Cycling CIC.

Thank you all for being part of such a special day. The future of cycling in the North East is looking very bright indeed. 💙🖤

🚴 NATIONAL YOUTH OMNIUM – ENTRIES RE-OPENED 🚴

Following the unfortunate cancellation of other National Youth Omnium rounds taking place around the UK this weekend, we have made the decision to re-open entries for the Manilla Cycling National Youth Omnium at Middlesbrough Velodrome this Sunday.

If you’re looking for an alternative racing opportunity, we’d love to welcome you to Middlesbrough for what promises to be a fantastic day of youth racing.

⚠️ Important Information:
✅ Entries are only open until MIDNIGHT TONIGHT (Friday 5th June)
✅ Maximum of 25 riders per field
✅ Entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis
✅ Once fields are full, entries will close immediately

🌦️ Weather Update
At present, the forecast is looking positive and we are planning to run the event as scheduled. As with any outdoor velodrome event, the weather can always change and that’s something none of us can control. Should conditions become challenging, we’ll do everything possible to deliver as much racing as we safely can.

For now, we’re keeping everything crossed for a dry day and another fantastic National Youth Omnium at Middlesbrough! 🤞☀️

With places limited and demand expected to be high, we encourage riders and parents to enter as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

We look forward to welcoming riders from across the country to Middlesbrough Velodrome for a great day of racing.

🚴‍♀️ NATIONAL YOUTH OMNIUM – EVENT MANUALS SENT 🚴‍♂️

You should all have now received your full Event Manuals via email. Here is some of the key information ahead of this weekend’s National Youth Omnium at Middlesbrough Velodrome.

Please take a few minutes to read through the manual carefully before travelling, paying particular attention to the parking arrangements, event timetable and rider information.

We’re incredibly excited to welcome some of the country’s best young riders to Middlesbrough this weekend for what promises to be a fantastic day of racing.

For those arriving on Saturday, don’t forget we’ll also be running an Open Track Session on Saturday evening, giving riders the opportunity to get familiar with the track ahead of racing on Sunday.

We can’t wait to see everyone this weekend and wish all riders safe travels and the very best of luck!

⚠️ TRAINING CANCELLED TONIGHT ⚠️

Due to the severe thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy rain currently affecting the area, we have made the decision to cancel tonight’s training session.

The safety of our riders, coaches, volunteers, and parents must always come first, and the current weather conditions make it unsafe to proceed.

Everyone who has booked onto tonight’s session will receive a full refund automatically.

Please help us spread the word to anyone who may be travelling to the session.

NEW - British Cycling North East Track Clusters 💥

We’re excited to be hosting the new British Cycling North East Track Cluster sessions at Middlesbrough Velodrome.
These sessions are aimed at youth riders, from all clubs, looking to progress in track cycling. These are the first step of the British Cycling pathway, so expect a fun but challenging session.
