But leadership is not a race.

It’s a relationship.

Ever made a rash decision and regretted it or thought in hindsight you might of handled it differently.

The pause gives space for you to take in the full picture and make an informed decision, rather than a quick one to fill the space.

Sometimes, the most powerful thing a leader can contribute isn’t their next sentence - it’s the breath they take before it.
