Your HYROX race day nutrition shouldn’t start on race morning. 👀
You wouldn’t wait until competition day to practice your sled pushes, running or wall balls.
So why would you wait until then to practice your fuelling?
A good race day nutrition strategy is something you train too.
You learn what breakfast sits well.
How much food you actually need.
How close to racing you can comfortably eat.
Whether caffeine works for you.
Whether you need carbohydrates during the race.
How much fluid you need.
And, importantly, what your gut can tolerate when your heart rate is high.
Because something being recommended doesn’t automatically mean it’s right for you.
The goal is to arrive on race day knowing exactly what you’re doing rather than standing in the start pen wondering whether that gel you’ve never tried was a good idea. 😂
Practice it. Learn from it. Adjust it.
Then when race day comes, nutrition becomes one less thing you need to think about.
