One of the biggest challenges we see in performance athletes isn’t a lack of discipline.

It’s letting go of the belief that eating less is always better.

Many athletes are training 5, 6, sometimes even 10+ sessions per week.

Yet they’re still trying to fuel themselves with the same mindset they had when the goal was simply to lose weight.

Performance requires support.

Carbohydrates aren’t the enemy.
Recovery isn’t optional.
Fuel isn’t something you need to earn.

The better question isn’t:

“How little can I eat?”

It’s:

“What do I need to perform at my best?”

Because when you start fuelling for the demands of your training, everything changes.

We don’t just want athletes to train hard.

We want them to be fuelled enough to benefit from it.

Not just the physical progress… but watching people start to feel stronger, more confident, and capable in their training again.

Because while both programs are built on the same FPN philosophy, they support very different needs.

Our Everyday Program is for people wanting more structure, consistency, and confidence around nutrition in a way that actually fits real life.

Our Performance Program is designed for athletes who need a much more hands-on approach around fuelling, recovery, competition, and performance demands.

Both are built around education, support, and long-term progress.

Just with different levels of coaching depending on the individual.

When Millie started with us in August 2025, the goal was always performance.

But before we could truly push performance forward, we had to address the biggest limiting factors she’d been struggling with for a long time.

Digestive flare ups, discomfort and an unhappy gut don’t just impact day to day life but they impact performance too.

Because if an athlete is struggling to digest food properly, absorb nutrients efficiently or fuel comfortably around training, it becomes very difficult to consistently perform at their best.

So instead of chasing aesthetics, we focused on building the foundations first.

Better digestion
Better fuelling
Better recovery
More consistency

And over the last 10 months, that’s exactly what Millie and her coach have done.

The body composition changes are incredible, especially at the same bodyweight but they were never the objective.
