Well done to everyone who competed at final NEGP meet of the season last night

Can’t believe for the 2nd meet in a row that we had to deal with terrible weather!

Couple of brilliant PBs however from Violet Turner in u14 Shot Putt 7.26m and from Jack Ord u18 800m to become the 3rd in clubs history to go sub 2 minutes after Albert a couple of weeks ago 👏👏

14 personal best performances on Sunday at NECCA Open! Well done to everyone who competed and to those making their club debuts!

Conditions last night where horrendous at times at NEGP so some of the performances where amazing considering this

15 new personal best performances recorded!

Big well done once again to Henry, Annabelle & Mabel who made club debuts in those conditions

Special shouts go to Annabelle Pugh with a great PB in 100m 16.3s

Lacee Anderson in High Jump 1.35m

Georgia Robson in Discus 18.53m

Liv Unwin achieved her first National Standard in 400m 66.01

2 new club records where also set from Jack Ord u18 Discus 31.22m & Karson Boothe u14 100m 12.26s

Well that concludes another Summer Diamond League Season!

This was the best one yet!

135 different children got involved in this year series which beats our previous record of 124 in 2021!

Brilliant opportunity once again especially for our younger ones to experience some fun competing and get them ready for the real stuff when they are older!

New and more opportunities to get medals this year proved a big hit!

Thank you to all of our volunteers which have been outstanding for us this summer!

We trialled an indoor sportshall diamond league last year which was a success and we are meeting with the school to book some dates in to have an indoor series

We will keep you posted

Some brilliant results yesterday for the 3 competing at the York Open

Oliver Meadley extended his own u20 club records in both Shot Putt (10.47m) & Javelin (36.66m)

Harper and Alice both ran big PBs in 75m & 150m also!! 👏👏

It was a great day yesterday in Jarrow

Bit of a strange one for our u12s who don’t normally get the opportunity to run the 100m and 200m competitively at their age but they all did great!

Well done Shea, Xavier, Harper, Elyse & Hannahbelle (Hannahbelle coming within fractions of the u12 club record in 100m)

Heidi Osmond ran a PB in u12 800m which was great 2.43.22 although her 600m performances this summer suggest she’s going to smash that very soon!

However the plaudits must go to Albert Brown who ran almost 4s PB in 800m and going sub 2mins for the first time! Absolutely amazing the 2nd person to do this in the clubs history after of course Scotty! Absolutely incredible performance 💪
