It offers a superb network of tracks, trails and disused railway lines to be explored by bikers of all ages and abilities. It’s Gravel time again! This months route will take in a mix of Forest tracks, a little bit of road and a tiny bit of wide moorland singletrack. We’ll be starting from the shop at 6:15, to be rolling by 6:30. Pace will be steady and sociable. We’ll be calling in at Greedy Ted’s for post ride refreshments. You are more than welcome to come and join us. Hope to see you there!

Come and join us this Friday for our 2nd Gravel ride of the summer season. We’ll be heading out from the shop and aim to be rolling by 6:30. We’ll be riding a route of mixed trail conditions, gravel, tarmac and a short section of non technical single track. The route will feature some hilly bits and will be of a steady to moderate pace. We’ll be out for about two hours. You’re more than welcome to join us for some refreshment afterwards at one of the local bars on Westgate.

Gravel bikes can open up lots of options for riding. The ability to mix up on and off road, and the ability to carry luggage easily. This makes them a great getaway vehicle. Escape into the wild and get off the beaten track.

Last summer John spent a week riding in the Scottish western isles. Leaving his van at the ferry terminal and sailing onto Skye, he made his way north and caught another ferry to Lewis & Harris. Wild camping along the way he had an amazing time.
