🏏 Colin Coulson Memorial Game ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported the memorial game between the Coulson XI and Paul’s XI.

The Coulson XI scored 181/6, before Paul’s XI reached 187/5 to win by five wickets.

The day was all about coming together to remember Colin and celebrate his life. Thanks to everyone’s incredible generosity, we raised £275 for the British Heart Foundation.

Thank you to all the players, helpers and supporters who made it such a special day. Colin would have been incredibly proud.

Wow... what can i say .. a massive, massive thank you to everyone that took part in my cricket match today.. the players of both teams , the umpires, Andy Faux and Violet Robinson, everyone that helped set up the facilities, and especially those that did the marvellous catering, and to all the spectators that turned up to watch on a beautiful Sunday afternoon ..... today was the cricketing highlight of my year ..... I am truly humbled ....

Would be lovely to see lots of his friends and colleagues there... Food and drink will be available for everyone from the pavilion ... Hope to see you there

💚💛 1ST XI MAKE IT BACK-TO-BACK WINS 💛💚

Sutton CC 1st XI 83/3 (13 overs)
Telugu Association of Cambridge CC 2nd XI 81 all out (24.1 overs)

🏆 Sutton won by 7 wickets

Sutton CC 1st XI continued their excellent form with a convincing seven-wicket victory at home, collecting another 20 league points.

After losing the toss and being asked to field, Sutton's bowlers were on top from the start.

Richard Goodjohn continued his remarkable run of form, producing another excellent spell of 4/18 from eight overs, including a maiden.

Captain Jack Boston was outstanding at the other end, returning superb figures of 4/9 from 7.1 overs, also including a maiden.

James Nuttall chipped in with 1/25, while Craig Faux claimed the remaining wicket with 1/26.

The Sutton fielders backed up the bowlers, with Daniel Grady, Joshie Pollard and David Frear all taking catches, as the visitors were dismissed for just 81 in 24.1 overs.

With only 82 required for victory, James Nuttall and Duncan Turner put on 47 for the opening wicket to put Sutton firmly in control.

Nuttall followed up his brilliant 136 the previous week with a quick 26 from 19 balls, including two fours and two sixes, while Turner contributed 13.

Three wickets fell in quick succession to leave Sutton 49/3, but there was to be no way back into the game for the visitors.

Chayse Frear struck an unbeaten 19, including four boundaries, while Joshie Pollard finished unbeaten on 16, hitting three fours as the pair comfortably saw Sutton home.

Sutton reached 83/3 in just 13 overs, completing an emphatic seven-wicket victory with plenty to spare.

Another excellent team performance from the 1st XI — following up the previous week's 201-run win with another convincing victory.
