Day 2 – Cringleford Tournament ⚽🏆
After winning their final game yesterday and earning a place in the top tier for today, the boys knew they were in for a tough challenge.
They gave absolutely everything in every game, taking on some very strong opposition in the heat. Their opening match was outstanding and really set the tone for the day, with the team showing incredible determination, teamwork and resilience from the first whistle to the last.
Every single player was an absolute superstar this weekend. Each of them played their part, worked tirelessly for one another, and never stopped believing. Their commitment, attitude and desire to keep fighting made us all incredibly proud.
The boys battled their way through to the quarter-finals, where their tournament came to an end after a heartbreaking penalty shootout.
We head home with a trophy, plenty of achievements to celebrate, and the pride of being the only team to stop the tournament’s top side from continuing their winning streak. A fantastic accomplishment against such quality opposition.
Away from the football, it’s been a weekend full of hotel zombie hunting, swimming, endless Haribo, and the parents even managed to enjoy a relaxing evening together 🍻.
What a brilliant weekend making memories that will last a lifetime. Weekends like this are what grassroots football is all about. Friendships made, memories created, challenges overcome and smiles everywhere. So proud of every single one of the boys💙⚽🏆
