This morning I organised and facilitated a Female’s Only, Pilates Inspired Stretch Class at Rotherham Ethnic Minority Alliance (REMA) for a lovely group of ladies.

It was an honour to discuss and highlight Mental Health Awareness Week as a part of the session, specifically focusing on how sports and fitness can help to boost mental wellbeing. We also incorporated confidence, empowerment and positive thinking through movement.

I thoroughly enjoyed my morning, everyone was so welcoming and kind. Thank you to everyone that came. And just to make it even better, because it’s my birthday today everyone sang to me and I had a lovely piece of homemade cake from a client to celebrate! 🄳

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week! 🄳✨

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, Katie’s Mindful Movement is proud to introduce the Community Positivity Board — a safe, supportive, and uplifting space where members of our community can come together to share words of encouragement, hope, kindness, and personal mental health advice.

Mental health journeys can often feel isolating, but sometimes the smallest message, quote, or reminder can make a meaningful difference to someone who may be struggling silently. This board has been created to encourage connection, compassion, understanding, and positivity throughout Mental Health Awareness Week and beyond.

All submissions are anonymous and will be made into physical messages and added to a board which will eventually be displayed locally. I hope this board becomes a source of comfort, encouragement, and inspiration for everyone who reads it. Together, we can continue creating a community where people feel heard, supported, valued, and reminded that their mental health matters.

Exciting news! 🄳

I’ve recently completed an Introduction to Crystal Singing Bowls course and I’m so excited to begin weaving this beautiful practice into my holistic sports sessions.

Crystal bowls are known for their calming, restorative vibrations, helping to support relaxation, recovery, and overall wellbeing. By combining this with my existing holistic approach to movement and training, I’m looking forward to using this knowledge for sessions that will offer an even deeper level of balance for both body and mind.

Whether you’re looking to enhance performance, aid recovery, or simply take time to reset, this new addition is designed to elevate your experience.

What a lovely surprise to return home to! šŸ„°šŸ™

~ Today I received a letter from Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity thanking me for the Easter gifts I previously donated to the Children’s Ward.

This simple gesture has made my day because I know what we donated helped bring a little bit of joy, comfort, and positivity to children and families during what can be a really difficult time.

Moments like this remind me why I do what I do šŸ’›

A little sprinkle of Easter magic 🐣✨

I’ve been busy creating some little adorable chick Easter eggs, each one filled with mini eggs and a positive message to bring a smile. I’ve also made handmade mini bobble hats to pop on top of the chicks – just a bit of fun to brighten someone’s day!

These little creations have been dropped off to the Children’s High Dependency Unit at Rotherham Hospital today and I hope they bring comfort, joy, and a moment of happiness to patients this Easter šŸ’›

Big milestone moment ✨

I’ve officially sat all my exams, handed in my course work and I’m now waiting for my Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification to arrive! šŸ¤ž

It’s been such a valuable journey so far, and I’m really proud of everything I’ve learned throughout the course. I feel like I’ve had the opportunity to develop and learn whilst being supported by qualified professionals, which is great! šŸ‘

Today I had the pleasure of visiting the Unity Centre in Rotherham Town, where I met with the lovely Maria from Rotherham Ethnic Minority Alliance (REMA).

We had such a positive conversation about how my business can support their incredible work by increasing accessibility to sports and fitness opportunities within the community.

We explored ways we can help break down specific barriers to sport that their clients may currently be facing, while also looking at how to reduce stigma around different types of sessions, ensuring classes feel welcoming, inclusive, and supportive for everyone.

I’m delighted that we were able to book a few sessions in the diary for the near future, and I’m really looking forward to delivering them. I’m so excited about the potential of this collaboration, the future classes, and the impact we can create together! 🌻
