🐯 FULL TIME | ELY TIGERS 43–29 FAKENHAM

🎃 A few more tricks than we’d have liked, but thankfully there were more treats as the Tigers came out on top in a Halloween thriller at Pocock + Shaw Park!

It wasn’t always pretty, the Tigers were sluggish first half and Fakenham certainly made us work for it, but a determined second half meant the Tigers secured another valuable league victory.

Thank you to Fakenham for a fiercely contested game, and to everyone who came down to P+S Park to support the lads.

31/10/2026

Best of luck to both sides in action today!

If you’re free, please get along to P+S Park and bring the noise, your support makes such a difference.

As usual there will be score updates in our social media stories throughout the afternoon.

COME ON YOU TIGERS!

🏉🎃 TEAM NEWS | FENLAND BARBARIANS

THE BARBARIANS ARE ON THE ROAD!

The Fenland Barbarians head to Cottenham tomorrow to face the Renegades in a Halloween showdown! 💪

📅 Saturday 31st October
🏉 Cottenham Renegades v Fenland Barbarians
📍 High Street, CB24 8UA
⏰ Kick-off: 2pm

A special mention for 18-year-old Caiden Smith, who steps up from the Ely Tigers Colts to make his senior debut for the Barbarians tomorrow! 👏

Having represented Cambridgeshire U18s just a few days ago, it’s been quite a week for Caiden, and another fantastic example of our young players progressing into senior rugby.

Go well, Caiden! 🐯 Best of luck to captain Craig Reugg, Caiden and the whole squad! 👊

Travelling support is always welcome, so get along and back the Barbarians!

TIGERS REPRESENTING!

A huge congratulations to Joe, Owen, Henry, Caiden and Zach, who were all selected to represent Cambridgeshire U18s on Wednesday evening! 👏

Five members of our Colts squad earning county honours is a fantastic achievement and a real credit to the hard work they’ve put in.

A special mention also goes to Colts captain Josh, who would have been out there alongside his teammates but unfortunately missed out through injury. Wishing him a speedy recovery!

Our player pathway, from Minis through Youth and Colts to Senior rugby, is something we’re incredibly proud of. Seeing players develop through the age groups and go on to earn representative honours is a fantastic reflection of the opportunities available at Ely Tigers, and the dedication of the coaches and volunteers who support them along the way.

The future is bright. The future is Tigers!

MAN OF THE MATCH | MITCH KENNETT

When a game is as close and fiercely contested as Saturday’s, played in driving wind and rain, there’s no one you’d rather have alongside you than Mitch Kennett.

A huge presence in the pack, leading from the front and putting in the big hits when they matter most. Another massive performance from possibly the largest man in Ely. Absolutely nailed the post-match pint as well. 🍺

A thoroughly deserved Man of the Match award!

Thanks to Cambridge Discount Electrical & Plumbing Contractors for sponsoring the award.
