The wait is over — Age Grade rugby returns to Pocock + Shaw Park tomorrow morning!

Whether you’re coming back for another season or thinking about giving rugby a go for the very first time, we can’t wait to welcome you.

⏰ Minis | U6–U12: 9:00am–10:30am
⏰ Youth | U13–U18: 11:00am-12:30pm
🍳 Kitchen open from 9am
🛍️ Club shop open all morning
🍺 Bar open from 9am

⭐ And remember — all sessions throughout September are FREE to attend. New players are very welcome, with no previous rugby experience needed.

PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY

On Saturday 19th September, our 1st XV head to Thetford RUFC for a pre-season three way featuring Thetford and Newmarket.

A valuable opportunity to get some minutes into the legs, put the work from the training pitch into practice and sharpen things up ahead of the competitive season. 💪

🐯🏆 CHAMPION AGAIN | LOUIS COOKE 🏆🏈

A massive shoutout to Louis Cooke, who clearly decided one championship this year wasn’t enough! 👏

After a hugely successful rugby season with the Tigers — including helping the Fenland Barbarians to the EC2 West title, as well as being named the Fenland Barbarians players player — Louis swapped the oval ball for… well, another oval ball, and spent his summer playing American Football. 🏉➡️🏈

And today, he added another winners’ medal to the collection, as part of the Ipswich Cardinals, who were today crowned the BritBowl National Division 2 Champions! 🏆

Different sport. Same Louis. Still winning. 💪

Huge congratulations from everyone at Ely Tigers, mate — enjoy this one! 🖤💛

The countdown is on… next Sunday, our Mini & Youth Tigers are back! 🏉

We’re kicking off the new season with our Return 2 Rugby Extravaganza — a morning of rugby, games, catching up with teammates and welcoming plenty of new faces to the Tigers family.

🇫🇷🐯 LE VICE-CAPITAINE | MATT FRENCH 🖤💛

We’re delighted to announce Matt French as 1st XV Vice Captain for the 2026/27 season, joining Captain Luke Turner and Barbarians Captain Craig Ruegg in our senior leadership group.

A hugely respected member of the squad, Frenchy brings plenty of experience, commitment and leadership to the role — and will play an important part in driving standards both on and off the pitch this season.

Plus we’re secretly hoping the new role might curtail his penchant for collecting yellows 👀
