Ely Sailing Club

Ely Sailing Club Ely Sailing Club is based at Roswell Pits in Ely, Cambridgeshire. We have over 40 acres of attractive fresh water with islands, trees and banks.

The sailing is always interesting, challenging and fun. There is dry launching directly from jetties, and crews are able to sail without getting their feet wet. We are a recognised Royal Yachting Association (RYA) training centre and have also been awarded RYA Champion Club status for our race coaching. 🤩Sunday 9th, 13:00🤩

Assuming favourable weather... for one day, we're taking over racing in favour of grab-a-duck, treasure hunts and paddle hockey...

We'll be using club boats (or your own boat if you prefer) to compete in a range of light hearted challenges on the water. Think sports day but only the fun bits!

Grab a bouyancy aid and bring your best pirate spirit. See you on the water! ⚓️💙

This Sunday, starting 11:30 first race are our Jamie Butcher Memorial Races. Jamie is a sadly missed member of the club who died in a tragic capsize off the coast.

Now in it's 19th year of fundraising in Jamie's memory, we've chosen East Anglian Air Ambulance Charity as beneficiaries this year. We ask every boat competing in the event to donate at least £5 but everyone is welcome to donate in Jamie's memory.
