We are a friendly recreational sailing and coastal rowing club on the River Tay, new members welcome - come and try with a taster session, use the club's dinghies and skiffs, or store your own boat. We are a family friendly sailing club, trying to make sailing accessable and affordable to the whole community. The majority of members are primari

ly interested in pleasure sailing and improving their sailing skills. Guests are welcome to come and try sailing by purchasing a £25 voucher sail, which will be refunded if you decide to join us. We have waterproofs and buoyancy aids to fit all sizes. If after trying and decide you / your family would like to join, the annual fees are £135 (individual) / £195 (family of 4). The club has a number of boats which are available free for members use - so you don't even need to own a boat! The club has a boat park for summer / winter storing of your own boat, moorings are also available through Royal Tay Yacht Club. Members have the opportunity to go on a variety of RYA training courses at the club for a fraction of what you pay elsewhere. These courses range from the basic skills to courses useful for the experienced sailor. The main Sailing Season runs from April and finishes in October, there is winter racing which is done in conjunction with RTYC. There are three main sailing days every week. The weekly programme is generally as below:
-Sundays, the club members go on a cruise, to different locations, up and down the Tay, and stop for a picnic.
- Tuesday and Thursday nights give the members a chance to brush up on their sailing skills.
- There are other sailing events through the season, some of these have been curtailed by COVID, but they include longer caming trips, BBQs and fun days.
- There are also usually a number of social nights throughout the year, most of them are held at the Club House located on the Grassy Beach, these are open to members and guests of members. Please contact us if you would like more information or would like to give it a try! http://www.dundeesailingclub.org.uk/contact-us.html
