JUNIOR TENNIS COACHING - Next Block starts Wednesday 17th April (11 weeks)

Junior tennis coaching restarts at the club next Wednesday with Emma taking classes at the below times:

3:30pm to 4:15pm (Nursery and P1 - adult participation required)
4:15pm to 5:00pm (P2 & P3)
5:15pm to 6:15pm (P4 & P5)
6:15pm to 7:15pm (P6 & P7)
7:15pm to 8:15pm (High School)

All class costs are pro-rated block bookings.
Member and sibling discounts are available for members of Alyth Bowling & Tennis Club.

As part of the Alyth Bowling & Tennis Club Try Bowls and Big Tennis Weekend this Saturday, we will be providing 4 different taster sessions from 1-3pm

The taster sessions are:
13:00 to 13:25 - LTA Youth Red (P1 to P3)
13:30 to 13:55 - Pickleball (Adults and children)
14:00 to 14:25 - LTA Youth Orange & Green (P4+)
14:30 to 15:00 - Cardio Tennis (Adults and children (P4+))

Tennis rackets and Pickleball bats can be provided by the club, just bring yourself, the family, a full water bottle and lots of sun cream!!

**Due to the open day, our usual 9am to 12pm morning tennis coaching classes and Pickleball are cancelled this week, they will resume on 24/06/23**

Our Big Tennis Weekend Open Day will showcase our LTA Youth class for children, Cardio Tennis and Pickleball (both for adults and children (P4 and above)). Fancy seeing Andy and Jamie Murray playing doubles in a Scotland Vs England Match up in Aberdeen??

I have some tickets available for the upcoming Battle of the Brits Tennis match on 22/12/2022 (18:30 start)

24 tickets were originally purchased for junior players and their parents for the event on 22/12/2021, however this was rescheduled due to covid.

15 people have informed me today that they can no longer make the new date so I am trying to re-sell these tickets.
If interested please get in contact before Wednesday (otherwise they go back to Ticketmaster). These will be sold at the original prices (£41.40 or £52.65)

We are now taking booking for our Summer holiday tennis camps in Dundee and Perthshire!!

A 2 hour camp costs £10 per day while a 3 hour camp costs £12 per day

A 10% sibling discount is available on all bookings.

A 25% member discount is available for at clubs where your child is a registered 2022 member.



These camps are:

Just a reminder that there are no tennis classes running at either Forthill Community Tennis Club or Alyth Bowling & Tennis Club this coming week as David is on his honeymoon. He will be back next Sunday with classes starting again from 06/06/22.

If you have prepaid a lesson this week, it will be refunded.

Information regarding holiday camps will also be released when David is back.

We are very excited to be starting our coaching sessions at Alyth Bowling & Tennis Club tomorrow which is where our head coach David learnt to play tennis when he was at Alyth Primary School.

Classes run from 3:45pm until 8:45pm each Wednesday and can be booked online now at https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/AndersonRacketSports

Two types of junior classes run side by side up until 7:45pm for the first 6-weeks of the programme.

LTA Youth Start is a 6-week introductory course in which your child receives a tennis racket as part of the package. this class run alongside LTA Youth (Red, Orange or Green) which is perfect if you already have you own racket. After the initial 6-weeks, these two classes merge.

All equipment is provided.

Classes cost:

£4 for members of Alyth Bowling & Tennis Club
£6 for non-members

A junior membership for the club is only £10 for the year!, so is definitely worth taking out!
Memberships forms will be available tomorrow at the club.

Another tennis holiday camp has been and gone in a flash!, The children have played outside and indoors as well. They also managed to do a quiz on Tuesday when the rain forced us indoors.
