For the very last time …. white/light coloured castles and facepainters do not mix !!! If you want an Instagram party with all the pretty white/coordinating castles you really cannot have a little Spider-Man smearing his red and black facepaint all over it. It’s not fair on the bouncy castle guys as it will stain. And ruin there castles. It’s not fair on the facepainter as we end up stressed trying to use only “light” colours. And as your contract is with the bouncy castle people, if you have been advised that facepainting is not allowed. You, the parent are liable.

I’m not being harsh. But this has been said lots of times. And I keep turning up at venues with very pale castles where parents have been told no facepainting. If this happens I still need to be paid in full due to the booking being honoured.it really isn’t fair on the painter. The kids. The castle people. Let’s go back to kids parties being fun guys. Not just for the photos !!!

Hey guys …. Wee reminder that if your booking a facepainter make sure the other equipment hired is compatible. Had two hottub/pool parties recently. Now it’s not just the Facepainting washing off that’s the problem. It’s that paint/glitter etc all blocks the filters on these machines. And they are expensive. If they got to the moving parts, jets etc. They can cause a lot of problems.

White play equipment. Or any light colour. Facepaint can stain. Not skin (long term). But vinyl play stuff. Play balls. And even when cleaned can leave a mark. Worst offenders are black, red and blue. But tigers need there stripes 🤣. And the last thing I want is grumpy little people if they can’t get what they want.

Glitter. A few halls/pubs don’t allow glitter. For hen parties etc. Please check with the venue. Glitter is a nightmare to remove. And some halls just won’t due to new seats/carpets etc. And that’s there right.

Soft play/inflatables venues a lot won’t allow me in. For staining etc. Not all. But a fair few.

I cannot force a supplier/venue to let’s me in/work. So please, please check with your other suppliers/venue.

Sorry for the long post. But had a few tricky situations recently.

So after managing to dodge Covid while I was working. The unthinkable has happened. I have been ill all week. Was advised that it was strep throat from my GP. Unfortunately it turns out that it’s some horrible new strain of Covid. That feels horrific. My throat, head and chest feel like they have been threw the wars. I’m really struggling, as most people know I have compromised immune system. And this has hit me hard. Really hard. My eldest who is also disabled has it too.

I have had to take the decision to cover any of today’s bookings. I’m about to start trying to cover tomorrow’s. I really wouldn’t risk spreading this. And to be honest. I’m unable to even consider crawling out of bed. And that’s unheard of. I can’t apologise enough. I hope that everyone understands. And has fantastic time and their events ! Party for me guys.

PS. Would like to thank my amazing clients. Honestly so moved by how amazing every one of you has been about this. Xx

Few big summer contracts coming up for multiple painters/venues. But lots of painters who painted before Covid have given up. And other painters have started up.

Hi guys. Sorry to have to post these sort of messages. However it’s came to my attention that a facepainter was assaulted, spat on and racially abused over the weekend. I would like to clarify that these sorts of behaviours will not be tolerated. The same party also tried to withhold payment. So to keep us all safe I’m introducing some new ways of working.

Payment must be made when painter arrives at the hall. This is easier all round. As mum/dad are busy at the end giving out cake, party bags etc.

There is a zero tolerance for violence/abuse. If someone is abusive to the painter. They have the right to leave. And be paid. No one deserves to go to work and be abused.

If the abusive person is a guest then the parents can remove them to keep the painter safe. But the painters safety must take priority.

We work hard to make sure everyone has the best experience with us ! And it’s not fair to ruin the child’s day by behaving in this manner either.

I must stress this was very much a one off. It’s not common. However it’s really shaken us. So much so we are considering wither working alone in house parties is a sensible thing. I really hope everyone understands why I’ve had to put these measures in place.
