This doesn't happen by accident.

It takes years of consistency, dedication, hard work, and showing up even when you don't feel like it. Sharon has now clocked up an incredible FOUR YEARS of doing exactly that. ๐Ÿ‘

And if you know Sharon, you'll know it certainly hasn't been a smooth ride! She is quite possibly the most accident-prone person I know ๐Ÿ˜‚

One of my favourite Sharon stories was when she unfortunately suffered a stroke. Naturally, everyone was concerned about her recovery. Sharon's first message to me was something along the lines of:

"I've had a stroke... but what am I going to do about my MEPS?!" ๐Ÿคฆโ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚

That pretty much sums up Sharon perfectly.

Whether it's bootcamps, Parkruns, DEKA events, personal training sessions, or simply getting out there and giving her best, Sharon always turns up with determination and a smile.

Sharon, you've absolutely smashed it and thoroughly deserve your place in the Hall of Fame.

We're all incredibly proud of you. ๐Ÿ’ชโค๏ธ

For years I thought there would be a day when I'd look in the mirror and finally think:

"Yep. That's it. You made it."
A bit leaner... A bit bigger... A bit stronger... A bit faster...

The goalposts kept moving.

What I've realised is that the physique was never the destination.

The destination was freedom.

Freedom to take your top off on holiday without worrying ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Freedom to run around with your kids without getting out of breath๐Ÿ‘Œ

Freedom to go fishing, play football, climb, swim, run, hike and say:

"Yeah, let's do it."

Not because you're chasing six-pack abs.

Because you're no longer held back by your body.

At 53, I'm probably in the best shape of my life.
Not because of how I look.
Because of what I can do.

The best compliment isn't someone saying:
"You look great."

It's when your son says

"Come on Dad, race you."

And your answer is:

"You're on, and your gonna friken lose ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ"

Nafferton Dome never lets us down.

First track session of the year tonight โ€” only 200m which means we can all smash this one. I will, of course be expecting 2 laps from some of us ... especially Fins little Sis who showed us all how to Squat and Run ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช 4 years old and already HYROX ready ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ช
