The club was founded in 1962 by members of Wheatley Hills School on the east side of Doncaster.

Although the club is still relatively young, it has progressed, significantly, from its early days as an "Old Boy's" side winning cup & league honours.

Looking for something active, positive and confidence-building for your child?

Wheatley Hills RUFC Mini & Juniors are welcoming new players across the section.

Rugby is a great way for children to get outdoors, make new friends, build confidence, learn teamwork and be part of a proper club community.

No experience needed.
All abilities welcome.
Boys and girls welcome.

Training times:

Micros U6–U9s
Tuesday 6–7pm
Sunday 9:30–10:30am

Juniors U10–U16s
Tuesday 6–7pm
Thursday 6–7pm

Colts
Thursday 6:30–8pm

🏉 Building the future of rugby at Wheatley Hills Mini Juniors

A brilliant session this week as Wheatley Hills Mini Juniors continued to strengthen links with local schools through rugby development.

A huge thank you to Mr Chris Rose from Hill House School, who led a fantastic coaching session with our U14s, supported by Corey and Logan from Wheatley Hills Colts — both also students at Hill House School.

It was great to see a few new faces at the club, with six Hill House pupils coming down and hopefully joining the Wheatley Hills family. The Mini Juniors section continues to grow, with 19 minis attending, showing real momentum across the age groups.

A great evening of coaching, teamwork, and community rugby. Massive thanks to Chris, Corey, Logan, Hill House School, and everyone involved.

New players are always welcome — come down and give rugby a try!

Wheatley Hills are looking to recruit players for the 26/27 season.

Whether you’re new to the game, looking to put the boots back on again or even looking for a new challenge, everyone is welcome.

1st XV playing in Counties 2 Yorkshire B
2nd XV playing in Counties 4 Yorkshire C
3rd XV playing social rugby

Pre season will start Tuesday 30th June.
We will be training Tuesday and Thursday at 19:00

New players are still welcome at Wheatley Hills RUFC Mini & Juniors.

Whether your child has played before or is completely new to rugby, they’ll be made to feel welcome from day one.
