A newly reformed fishery for the friends of Parklands sports &social club.
After several years of neglect Parklands angling club has been formed to bring the old canal strip to its former glory of the old days, with several years of knowledge and guidance the lake will soon be reformed to its former glory, whether that be treatments of the lake to stocking programs. Upto now there is no knowledge on stock levels, Carp have recently been caught upto 15lb, tench to 8lb and several other coarse species such as Roach, Rudd and perch. No pike or Bream reside but will look to introduce at a later date in a educated level.
Day tickets available at £5 (Upto 2 rods)
Day memberships available.
Limited night permits available.
Fishery Rules:
1. Children under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
2. Anglers caught fishing with litter in the immediate vicinity of their swim will be banned from the fishery.
3. Barbless hooks only for coarse (non specimen) angling.
4. Keepnets allowed - no carp to be put in keepnets.
5. Dawn till Dusk fishing for day anglers only.
6. Maximum 2 rod limit.
7. All day anglers MUST fish on the car park bank. Fishing on the other bank may result in you being asked to leave.
Specimen carp rules:
8. Minimum 12lb breaking strain main line
9. Minimum 42” Landing nets
10. All fish caught must be unhooked on a carp cradle or padded unhooking mat. Failure to do so will result in instant dismissal.
11. Carp care kits to be used
12. No braided mainline to be used.
13. Leadcore, Fluorocarbon leaders and tubing are allowed to be used.
14. Braided hook lengths allowed.
15. Barbed or Micro-barbed hooks to be used for specimen angling.
16. All night permit holders and specimen anglers MUST fish on the far bank.
17. All night anglers must book on via the private group or ringing a bailiff/ committee member.
18. Tiger Nuts are allowed to be used.
19. Each angler is responsible for the condition of their peg and must take litter home after their session.
We accept no responsibility of any kind for the safety of and person holding a fishing ticket or for any injuries to third parties resulting from the actions of an angler. We also accept no responsibility for any theft or damage of any piece of equipment whilst on the Parklands Fishing Club’s premises.
