So then folks as you will already know iv just got a pair of 10ft 2.5lb e class’s for my ‘light river carp’ setup , paired them with ss 1000’s and now looking for a decent pair of tip protectors to suit , any ideas ??? Was leaning toward a Cotswold Aquarius 2 rod stalker but feel it’s a bit overkill and unnecessary weight for such a lightweight and small setup so looking at the Cotswold Aquarius vulpine quiver just want some protection for the rods now if anyone has any better ideas than the CA tip tops at almost forty bar each would be great to hear it ???

Well that’s me hanging the rods up for a few month as il be out of action looking after the missis who’s just gone through major surgery bless her ,,, but on the fishing front iv only gone an Got a set of tournie ss1000 whiskers for my river setup ready for next season unless by a miracle I manage to get some sessions in toward the end of this season !!! New set of 10ft 1 3/4lb compact specialists coming soon too so will be all set to jump back on them Yorkshire and north Lincolnshire river carp and maybe even see if I can’t sort out my twenty year old barbel pb of 12.7 on the side 👊🏻💥💥💥

Best result yet on the little river last night an i lost two fish at that so banked 3 biggest of which was this character of a common at 18lbs 4oz along with another little scraper double an a low double that I slipped straight back,,, still if I’d of not lost them two that woulda been 5 , it’s always harder to gauge size when playing carp in a river as they all feel big but one of those I lost last night does leave me with a sneaking suspicion that I lost a good fish last night 🫣🎣
