A Day to Remember for Bentley ARLFC U8s πππ
After months of planning and fundraising, the day theyβd all been looking forward to finally arrived.
Whilst most people were still asleep, alarms were going off at 4am as a group of excited Bentley ARLFC U8s players, parents and coaches set off on an adventure to London.
The day started at Harrow School, where the kids took part in the Challenge Cup Festival against teams from across the country taking part in 6 solid games, before making the journey to Wembley Stadium.
Then came the moment theyβd all been waiting for. Our players had the honour of taking part in the opening pitch parade before the Challenge Cup Final, walking out in front of thousands of supporters and proudly representing Bentley ARLFC.
After the parade, they settled in to watch a fantastic Challenge Cup Final between Hull KR and Wigan Warriors and soak up the atmosphere of one of rugby leagueβs biggest occasions.
For many of our players it was their first time visiting London, first time on the Underground and first time experiencing anything on this scale. Seeing the smiles on their faces throughout the day made every bit of planning worthwhile.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the trip happen. To the coaches, volunteers, parents and everyone who supported our fundraising efforts, thank you.
To add a huge thank you to Cozy Carpets for sponsoring the tour T-shirts!!!!
Months of planning turned in to the best day for our amazing team! Until next year!! Wembleyβ¦ youβve been amazing ππππ
The memories will last a lifetime.
