Happy Yorkshire Day!

This Yorkshire Day, we are holding our second Water Safety Day, teaching young people how to stay safe in and around open water.

Throughout the day, we are learning essential lifesaving skills, including Float to Live, boating safety, CPR and understanding water safety flags. The fire service, police and the RNLI are all here to provide expert advice and guidance.

To finish the session, everyone will be enjoying time on our aqua park.

Learn vital and life saving skills and then finish the day on the Aqua Park. Fully funded with thanks to City of Doncaster council - for children in the post code areas DN3, DN7 and DN8.

💙 What an incredible Water Safety Day at Hatfield! 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made the day such a fantastic success. We hope every young person left feeling more confident around open water and, most importantly, learned vital life-saving skills to help keep themselves and others safe.

A massive thank you to Doncaster Council for funding this event, giving local children the opportunity to take part and learn these essential skills free of charge.

Throughout the day we learned:
🌊 How to perform potentially live saving CPR.
🛟 How to Float to Live, thanks to the fantastic team at Swimyourswim (and STAnley the seal!).
⚓ Top water safety tips from the RNLI.
🚒 Expert advice and demonstrations from South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue.
🚤 How to enjoy boating safely and responsibly.
💦 And we rounded off the day with an epic session at Doncaster’s only aqua park!

Thank you to all of our partners, instructors and volunteers for making the day so engaging, educational and fun.

📢 Bookings for our next Water Safety Day open on Wednesday 22 July at 2:00pm.

This programme is locally funded and is available to young people living in DN3, DN7 and DN8 postcode areas.
