Mechanical tension and getting stronger is so important for muscle growth!

But equally so is ensuring that the tension is going into then muscle you're trying to work.

Momentum.

Not controlling the lowering phase.

And instability all can change your muscle building potential!

This is why with my clients we went through the difference between active and passive tension, and how to apply them across different lifts 🤜

Another week of 2026 down and been a good one!

Client's absolutely smashing it, and heading into summer the most confident and in control they've ever felt!

Many moving into "maintenance" phases and spending the next few months with me working on building muscle BUT also improving their relationship with food, pushing past anxiety, boundary setting and overcoming perfectionism and people pleasing!

Fat loss is such a small part in the bigger part of coaching, Confidently You! is designed to build confidence in all areas of life. Plus if you want to maintain fat loss, my clients understand playing the long game and working on these areas also!

Weekend started with my Dad coming over! Been great to see him and have him stay, particularly after a long while whilst he has been recovering from stem cell transplant after fighting leukaemia.

Was also massively helpful as he helped me make a start on my home gym which is all coming together and I'm so excited to have it finished! Both for my own training but equally go share training content which I don't do enough of!

Then finished with my sister, brother in law and nephews coming over!! Was hectic but amazing to see them all!

Fat loss is only half the battle.

If you don't learn how to maintain your results when life gets busy, what do you think is going to happen?

The majority of the women I work with have all lost weight in the past!

Weight loss was never really the problem.

(I'm not saying their weren't some silly fads thrown in also)

But the problem tends to be the "all or nothing" side of things.

And I get it, maintenance doesn't sound very sexy.

But if you have a coach in your corner during those hectic months, when they pass you're doing to be in a much better position !

Instead, at the moment you spend year after year losing and gaining the same 10lbs because you miss out the most important bit of all.

Maintaining.

I get DMs like this pretty much weekly.

If you feel like you've tried it all, you are definitely not alone.

And when your weight is impacting your confidence in your relationship, when you flinch anytime your partner tries to touch your waist, when you hide behind baggy clothes in summer trying to convince everyone you're not hot, and you're too scared to step foot in the gym because you're terrified of being laughed at... well, I can see why a quick fix seems tempting.

But here's the thing. I don't think you're eating out of hunger.
I'm going to take a wild guess and say it has more to do with trying to block out negative, painful emotions and having no clear direction.

Which, I'm sorry to be the one to break the news to you, medication won't fix.

Yeah, it might press pause on the problem, but what is your long term plan?

Because equally, I have more and more clients coming to me after stopping the injections, with absolutely no idea what to do when the physical hunger comes back and slaps them in the face.

I get that trusting a coach can be tough, especially if you've been burned before.
It is exactly why I don't tie anyone into long term contracts. I work on a simple 30 day cancellation policy because the results should speak for themselves.

But have you ever actually worked with a coach who specialises in mental health, uses behavioral frameworks like ACT, and truly understands the psychological side of fat loss and what you're going through?

The secret to results like this and Holly feeling incredible before her girls holiday coming up was...

Consistency.

Because let's face it, life is f*cking hard.

Finishing work and finding your husband has missed the laundry basket yet again.

Your kids have turned the kitchen table into their art workshop.

And the fact Nan always decided it's a good idea to tumble down the stairs the moment you think "life is pretty good at the moment".

Yet this is exactly why you need a coach.

Because I'm not here to tell you that getting results like this is complex.

Stick to your calories, eat enough protein and fibre plus train really f*cking hard and you're halfway there.

But you know that already.

The reason you haven't stuck it out, is because you Jeep quitting when life gets overwhelming.

Yet this is when having a coach in your corner week on week to not only hold you accountable, but also to help pull things back when needed so you don't accidentally fall into the biscuit tin.

You are more than capable of achieving results just like Holly.

Coaching IS NOT another diet.

Because diets are the exact reason you are heading into summer hiding behind baggy clothes and your algorithm is full of mounjaro "what I eat in a day" videos.

As the majority of the women I work with, don't have an issue losing weight - at least not initially.

The problem is they are stuck in a cycle of losing and then regaining the same 10lbs.

Diet starts well.

Then ends with "f*ck it syndrome" kicking in and an evening fridge frenzy.

But when you're using fad diets and short term solutions, why are you suprised when you're only getting short term results?

Confidently You! isn't another diet, it's about building your confidence for life.

Helping you overcome perfectionism, people pleasing and self doubt.

Helping you change your self limiting beliefs and stories you're telling yourself about what is possible.

And giving you the tools and skills to handle life no matter what is thrown at you.

Because whether you like it or not, time is passing either way.

So you can either waste another 6 months waiting for the "perfect time to start"

Or you can realise that it just simply doesn't exist, and the best time to start is right now!

So stop putting it off and second guessing yourself... and like Lucy send me that DM with "COACHING".

Just imagine actually ending 2026 is a body and life that you love, because the only person holding you back from that is you 🤜

I see you there, lurking in the distance.

You've been watching my stories, seeing my posts and you're thinking to yourself... you know what Callum seems alright at what he does.

And he's also really really funny. (Ok maybe not that far).

But then the voice in your head kicks in...

"Yeah but you've tried so many times before! What makes Callum think he can make a difference !"

"You need to stop wasting money, think about what everyone is going to think when they see you doing yet another diet"

OR

"I don't want to DM him, because then I bet he will just then constantly hassle me like that other coach did!"

Well, you'll be glad to know that all of those thoughts that you're struggling with are completely normal.

How do I know? Well, because literally every single client I have worked with has told me they've felt a similar way before reaching out.

Which is why I had made finding out more about coaching as simple and unscary (if that's a word) as possible.

As I would hate to be hassled myself, and sometimes you do just what to know the price and whether what I offer is any different!

Which is why I thought in the post above I would explain the exact process so it's clear that when you message me "coaching" you won't get hassled or pressured because I know choosing the right coach is a big decision.

In fact, I even encourage clients to go away and have a think about it!
