Starting Wednesday 15th July @ 7.15pm and then every Monday and Wednesday after..

Castleford Rugby Union will be competing in the Yorkshire Counties 3 League for the 2026/2027 season. The teams have been announced and we will soon be releasing the fixtures for the upcoming season.

Following on from today's player meeting, Head Coach Mikey Firth had the following to say:

'Today's player meeting as the first team coach was extremely pleasing. Some good numbers showed up. Some people were unavailable for very understandable reasons. We spoke about season goals. Structures and many other topics. The lads seemed enthusiastic and i can only look forward to putting my plans into action and creating a new environment both on and off the field! Plenty of work to do. But together we move forward. We are looking forward to getting pre-season underway in the next few weeks.'

Castleford RUFC is delighted to announce the appointment of our new Head Coach, Mikey Firth ahead of the upcoming season. Bringing a wealth of experience, passion, and a strong vision for the future Mikey Firth joins the club with a commitment to developing players, strengthening our rugby programme, and building on the proud traditions of Castleford RUFC.

Speaking on his appointment.

'After Spending over a decade at the club, I have developed strong connections with people I would now consider family members. It brings me absolute pride to know the club have shown such faith in me in what has been a very tough period for the club, and I promise to give everything to move the club forward and bring back the family environment for years to come'.
