🔴 FOUNDATION ACADEMY FINISH THE SEASON IN STYLE!
What an incredible two days of football, fun, and celebrations for our FOUNDATION ACADEMY as we officially bring the 2025/26 season to a close!

From thrilling matches and cup finals to presentations, trophies, and unforgettable memories, it was the perfect way to end another fantastic year of development, teamwork, and enjoyment for all our young footballers.

🔴 U6s GRADUATION CUP DELIVERS ANOTHER THRILLING TOURNAMENT
The weekend kicked off with our annual UNDER 6s GRADUATION CUP, a special event that marks the end of our players' journey at U6 level before they graduate to Under 7s in September.

Six Academy teams took part in the tournament:
⚽ U6s RED
⚽ U6s BLACK
⚽ U6s GIRLS
⚽ U6s WHITE
⚽ U6s BLUE
⚽ U6s GREEN

Despite battling some challenging weather conditions, all six teams produced an outstanding morning of football, showcasing the progress they have made throughout the season.

🔴 U6s BLACK Crowned Champions!
The standout performers of the day were undoubtedly U6s BLACK, who put together a remarkable tournament display.

Not only did they win all five of their league matches, they achieved the impressive feat of doing so without conceding a single goal. Their dominance continued into the Champions Final, where they secured a fantastic 2-0 victory to seal the overall title and complete a perfect tournament.

A huge congratulations to our deserved champions!

🔴 Cup Success for U6s WHITE and U6s GIRLS
There was more silverware to celebrate as both U6s WHITE and U6s GIRLS claimed cup victories of their own.

The Girls provided one of the most dramatic moments of the morning, holding their nerve to win their final on penalties, sparking brilliant celebrations from players, coaches, and parents alike.

What a fantastic send-off for all of our graduating U6 players!

🔴 UNDER 5s SHINE ON SUNDAY
The football action continued on Sunday morning, with plenty more exciting games involving our youngest Academy members.

🔴 U5s YELLOW Welcome Wombwell
First up, our UNDER 5s YELLOW welcomed Wombwell U5s for what proved to be a memorable and entertaining game.

Thankfully, the weather was much kinder than the previous day, allowing both teams to enjoy a wonderful morning of football.

There were some excellent performances throughout the team, with special mentions going to GRAYSON C, LEWIS and JUDE, who all found themselves on the scoresheet for the FOUNDATION ACADEMY.

Well done to both teams for producing such a fantastic game played in the right spirit.

🔴 White Team Too Strong in Academy Clash
Sunday also saw our remaining two UNDER 5 teams go head-to-head in an exciting Academy fixture.

Although the RED team gave absolutely everything and never stopped battling, the WHITE team were able to use their additional matchday experience to good effect and proved too strong on the day.

A special mention goes to FINNLEY, who continued his incredible goalscoring form by finding the net time and time again. Having impressed in previous fixtures, he once again demonstrated a real eye for goal with another outstanding performance.

🔴 PRESENTATION DAY PROVIDES THE PERFECT CELEBRATION
After the morning football action, all Academy members made the short journey to South Hiendley for our annual 2026 PRESENTATION DAY.

This was our first experience of Jenny's Field and The Exodus Project, and what an amazing venue it turned out to be.

🔴 An Afternoon Packed with Fun
From the moment everyone arrived, there was plenty to keep our young footballers entertained.

The activities included:
🎈 A huge Bouncy Castle
🤸 Trampolines
🏃 An Obstacle Course
🚂 A fantastic Mini Railway
⚽ A large football pitch perfect for 60 mini footballers

For over an hour, the children enjoyed non-stop fun, laughter, and football with friends old and new.

🔴 Every Player Receives Their Trophy
Following all the outdoor activities, everyone gathered inside the hall for one of the most important moments of the day – the trophy presentation.

Every single Academy member received a trophy in recognition of their hard work, dedication, and progress throughout the season.

It was a particularly special moment for our UNDER 4s players, many of whom were experiencing their first-ever presentation event. Seeing the smiles on their faces as they collected their trophies made all the hard work worthwhile.

🔴 A Perfect End to a Fantastic Season
After plenty of photographs and celebrations, it was back outside for more football, more bouncing, and more fun.

While the children continued enjoying the activities, parents were able to relax with picnic blankets and enjoy the sunshine, creating the perfect atmosphere to round off a truly memorable weekend.

🔴 THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING 2025/26 SEASON
As another season comes to an end, both myself and Chris would like to say a massive thank you to every player, parent, family member, volunteer, and supporter who has helped make the last 12 months so special.

The progress shown by every child throughout the season has been incredible to watch, and seeing their confidence, friendships, and love for football grow week after week is exactly what the FOUNDATION ACADEMY is all about.

We've shared countless smiles, memorable moments, fantastic goals, brilliant saves, cup victories, presentations, and experiences that will stay with us for a long time.

We couldn't be prouder of every single player who has worn the Academy colours this season.

Enjoy your summer, celebrate everything you've achieved, and we'll be back bigger, stronger, and ready for more footballing adventures in 2026/27.

Thank you for being part of the FOUNDATION ACADEMY family.

⚽ Roll on next season! ⚽

*U6s GRADUATION EVENT*
Good evening everyone, hope you’re having a fabulous Friday!
Tomorrow’s TOURNAMENT!

*PARKING!!*
Remember to park in the bays only and please don’t park on the grass verges! I will have cones out anyway. When the car park is FULL, which it will be quite quickly, please look for parking on the main road near the fish shop opposite and also on the side roads, keeping in mind not to block anyone in!

Even though it is a TOURNAMENT and it will get competitive, please respect the referees, coaches, the school and everyone around you! Also, please stand behind the RESPECT BARRIER on all the pitches where your son or daughter is playing. The last two games I’ve refereed on these pitches, I’ve sent two parents off for abusive language….opponent parents albeit, and I know our parents will behave impeccably! 🥹

I’ve managed to source loads of trophies because I’m looking at having a league table for the first games, then three CUP FINALS where the winners will receive a big trophy and each player will receive a smaller trophy! Runners-up will receive a medal each!
* The ‘A’ final will be between the top 2
* The ‘B’ final will be between 3rd and 4th
* The ‘C’ final will be between 5th and 6th

----RED SATURDAY---
🟥⬛️🟥⬛️🟥⬛️🟥⬛️

🟥 Another fantastic Saturday morning at The Foundation Academy saw our young players back out on the grass, enjoying their weekly football sessions under glorious sunshine. With the warm weather continuing and many families making the most of the final weekend of Half-Term holidays, numbers were slightly reduced across the academy, but the enthusiasm, effort, and enjoyment on display were as strong as ever.

⬛️ We kicked off the morning with a combined session featuring our U6s GREEN’S and U6s GIRLS squads. Bringing the two groups together created a brilliant atmosphere filled with energy, teamwork, and healthy competition. The players worked their way through a variety of technical drills designed to develop their ball control, movement, and decision-making before taking part in several exciting 1v1 challenges where confidence and creativity were on full display.

🟥 The session finished with a highly entertaining 5v5 match, with both teams showcasing some excellent football. There were plenty of goals, determined defending, and impressive moments of individual skill throughout. However, when the final whistle blew, it was the U6s GIRLS who just edged the contest and could proudly claim the bragging rights for the week. A huge well done to all players involved for their fantastic attitudes and effort levels.

⬛️ Special congratulations go to our session MVPs, GRACE and COHAN, who both stood out for their commitment, hard work, and positive contributions throughout the morning.

🟥 Our second set of sessions also operated with slightly smaller numbers than usual, allowing us to work in two focused groups rather than the normal three. With Coach KYLE away on an adventure climbing mountains, Coach JAMIE stepped in and delivered an excellent session that kept the players engaged from start to finish. The quality of coaching and enthusiasm shown by the players ensured another successful morning of development and learning.

⬛️ One of the highlights of the day was welcoming a brand-new member to the Foundation Academy family. ARCHIE joined Coach Chris and the U4s group for his very first training session. Starting somewhere new can be a big step for any young player, but ARCHIE settled in brilliantly and embraced the session with a smile.

🟥 Everyone at Foundation Academy would like to extend a very warm welcome to Archie. We hope your journey with us is filled with fun, friendships, learning, and plenty of memorable football moments in the years ahead.

⬛️ To round off another successful morning, congratulations go to KASPER and ARLO, who were named MVPs in their respective groups. Both players demonstrated excellent effort, focus, and determination throughout the session and thoroughly deserved their recognition.

🟥 Well done to every player who attended this weekend. Whether taking part in training, developing new skills, or simply enjoying the game with friends, each player represented the Foundation Academy brilliantly. We look forward to seeing everyone back next week for another exciting morning of football development and fun.

☀️ A Brilliant Morning at The Foundation Academy:
What a truly fantastic morning down at the Foundation Academy! ☀️⚽ With the sun blazing down and temperatures soaring, it really did feel like summer football was in full swing. Despite many players being away enjoying the half-term break, the children who attended showed unbelievable energy, determination, and enthusiasm from start to finish. The heat certainly made conditions difficult, but every single player gave absolutely everything and should be incredibly proud of their efforts 👏🔥

💚 U7s GREEN Squad Shine in Practice Match:
We kicked the morning off with our U7s GREEN Squad, who took part in an intense practice match against each other ⚽💚 The session was designed to mirror real league conditions ahead of the team’s official league debut in September, and the players embraced the challenge brilliantly. The tempo of the game was excellent throughout, with both teams showing fantastic effort, teamwork, and improving confidence on the ball.

There were so many standout moments across the game, but a special mention simply has to go to EYOALE, who was absolutely unstoppable in front of goal, smashing home an incredible double hat-trick in a dazzling attacking performance 🎯🥅🔥 His movement, finishing, and energy were outstanding to watch. Another player who really caught the eye was ERYK, whose confidence continues to grow week after week 💪 His attitude, determination, and relentless work rate were exceptional once again, and it was fantastic to see all of his recent hard work rewarded with this week’s MVP Award 🏆👏 A massive WELL DONE to every single player involved for battling so hard in the sweltering heat and producing such a strong performance!

💖 U7s GIRLS Show Fantastic Spirit:
Our U7s GIRLS group were also missing a few players due to holiday commitments, but that certainly didn’t dampen the spirits or quality of the session ⚽💖 Coach CHRIS put the girls through a variety of fun but challenging drills, and the response from the players was absolutely magnificent. The energy, positivity, and togetherness shown throughout the morning was wonderful to see, with every player continuing to improve and encourage one another despite the difficult conditions ☀️🙌

This week’s MVP Award deservedly went to ANNA-MAY, whose effort, attitude, and overall performance stood out from start to finish 🏆⭐ A huge WELL DONE to all of the girls for another brilliant session!

😎 Smiles All Around in the 11:00am Groups:
Our 11:00am groups then arrived to enjoy the glorious sunshine ☀️😎 although the heat meant there were plenty of well-earned drinks breaks throughout the session 🥤💦 Just like the earlier groups, the players worked tirelessly all morning and approached every activity with huge smiles on their faces 😄⚽ The atmosphere around the Academy was absolutely superb, with lots of laughter, encouragement, and excellent football on display.

🎉 A Huge Welcome to LOGAN:
It was also fantastic to officially WELCOME a brand-new member to our Academy family — a huge Junior Tykes welcome to LOGAN! 🎉👏 Logan is a pupil at my school and has been eager to join us for quite some time, so it was brilliant to finally see him out on the pitch enjoying himself with the group ⚽💙 We truly hope your journey here at the Foundation Academy will be filled with fun, friendships, confidence, and many unforgettable memories both on and off the pitch 🙌🌟

🏆 MVPs of the Morning:
To round off another excellent morning, this week’s MVP Awards for the 11:00am groups went to OLIVER G, JUDE, and PARKER 🏆⚽ all of whom demonstrated fantastic effort, attitude, and determination throughout the session 💪👏 A HUMONGOUS WELL DONE to you boys and to every player who attended this morning. Your hard work, resilience, and positivity in such difficult weather conditions made it another hugely successful day at the Foundation Academy! 🔥☀️⚽

----RED SATURDAY---
🟥⬛️🟥⬛️🟥⬛️🟥⬛️

🟥 What another fantastic and action-packed training session it was today! Even with Coach KYLE away managing his UNDER 9s at a tournament, the energy, enthusiasm, and quality across every group never dropped for a second. With squads condensed for the day, it created an even more exciting atmosphere as all of our young stars stepped up brilliantly and gave absolutely everything on the pitch.

⬛️ We kicked things off with our two UNDER 6s squads, who continue their exciting journey as they prepare for the transition into U7s football. The progress these players are making week after week is incredible to witness, and today was another huge step forward for both groups.

🟥 Our GREEN Squad once again impressed everyone with their determination and attitude. The session focused heavily on ball familiarisation, confidence in possession, and understanding different in-game situations. Every single player showed fantastic concentration and effort throughout, but what stood out most was the confidence they are beginning to show when making decisions during matches and drills. Their development has been outstanding, and they should all be incredibly proud of themselves.

⬛️ Alongside them, our GIRLS squad continued working hard on their 3v3 game situations, and the improvement in this group is impossible to ignore. The teamwork, movement, communication, and bravery on the ball were brilliant to see. Every week they grow in confidence and understanding, and today they showed exactly why their future in football is looking so bright. The intensity, smiles, and determination on display made for an excellent session from start to finish.

🟥 A huge congratulations goes to today’s MVPs from these groups — HALLE, TOMMY-RAY, and EYOALE! All three players showed fantastic effort, brilliant attitudes, and excellent performances throughout the session. Very well deserved awards — WELL DONE GUYS!

⬛️ Next up, it was time for our younger age groups to take to the pitch, and they certainly did not disappoint.

🟥 Our UNDER 5s were in action preparing for tomorrow’s fixtures against DONCASTER. With Coach KYLE unavailable today, Coach CHRIS stepped in to lead the session, and what a fantastic job he did. The players trained with great focus, energy, and excitement as they got themselves match-ready for tomorrow’s games. There was plenty of hard work, excellent teamwork, and lots of determination on show, and the squad definitely looks prepared and motivated heading into tomorrow’s challenge. Let’s hope all their effort pays off with the victory they fully deserve!

⬛️ Meanwhile, our UNDER 4s were once again outstanding under the guidance and leadership of Coach PAUL. Today’s session focused on defending as a team, working together, and developing confidence in 1v1 situations. The players showed tremendous bravery when taking opponents on and worked incredibly hard to understand their defensive responsibilities. Their enthusiasm and willingness to learn continues to shine through every single week, and today was another brilliant example of that progress.

🟥 Today’s MVP awards for these groups went to MILES, ELLIOTT, and GRAYSON C! All three boys produced fantastic performances, worked tirelessly throughout the session, and fully earned their recognition. WELL DONE BOYS!

⬛️ Another brilliant day of development, smiles, hard work, and football fun across all age groups. The improvement throughout the club continues to be amazing to watch, and every single player should be proud of the effort and attitude they bring every week. We can’t wait to do it all again next session!

----RED SATURDAY---
🟥⬛️🟥⬛️🟥⬛️🟥⬛️

🟥 Despite waking up to dark rain clouds hanging over the pitches this morning, it certainly didn’t dampen the spirit or energy of our Academy players! The boys and girls arrived full of enthusiasm and excitement for another brilliant weekend of training, and from the very first whistle the effort, attitude, and smiles on display were absolutely fantastic.

⬛️ We kicked off the morning with a joint session involving our U6s GREEN Squad and our U6s GIRLS, and what a session it turned out to be! After an energetic warm-up packed with fun ball mastery drills, quick feet exercises, and plenty of touches on the ball, the players quickly got themselves ready for the main part of the session.

🟥 Today gave the players an exciting opportunity to experience the brand-new FA 3v3 format. Three mini pitches were set up, allowing multiple games to run at the same time, creating a fast-paced environment full of touches, goals, movement, and decision-making. With mini goals, no referees, no throw-ins, no corners, and continuous play, the format encouraged creativity, confidence, and freedom for the players to express themselves.

⬛️ At first, both squads needed a little time to adapt to the new style of play, but once they settled in, the quality and excitement levels really began to shine through. It was brilliant to see the players learning on the go, solving problems themselves, and most importantly enjoying every minute of it. The energy around the pitches was incredible, with constant action and loads of smiles throughout the games.

🟥 The GIRLS will officially move into this 3v3 format in SEPTEMBER, and based on today’s performance they are more than ready for the challenge! The BOYS, meanwhile, also have another exciting option available, with the possibility of entering the U8s DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE specifically designed for U7 teams. The big difference? They would step up and experience 5v5 football!

⬛️ To finish the session, the Girls continued playing 3v3 matches while the Boys were given the chance to test themselves in the 5v5 format — and what a brilliant way to end the morning! The Boys adapted superbly, showing some exceptional positioning, teamwork, passing combinations, and awareness far beyond their years. There were moments of really intelligent football throughout the games, and the progress many of the players have made over recent months was clear to see. No final decisions have been made yet regarding SEPTEMBER, but today certainly gave us plenty to be excited about!
A huge congratulations goes to today’s MVPs from these groups — GRACE & HARDY 👏⚽
Both players showed fantastic effort, determination, and brilliant attitudes throughout the session. Very well deserved!

🟥 The final part of the morning saw our two U5s squads and our U4s squad take to the field — and once again the effort and enthusiasm from every single player was outstanding. Watching the development and confidence of these young players week after week continues to be incredible to see.

⬛️ Coach KYLE’S group focused heavily on dribbling and ball control, with players working hard to improve their confidence when running with the ball at their feet. The improvement in close control and awareness was excellent throughout the session. The players then progressed into passing and dribbling combinations before finishing with quick-fire shooting exercises that brought plenty of excitement and goals. The session ended with an absolutely brilliant match where the players showed fantastic energy, determination, and teamwork right until the very end!

🟥 Coach CHRIS also delivered another excellent session. Working in smaller groups continues to have a massive impact on player development, giving every child more opportunities on the ball and helping to build confidence much quicker. That progress was there for everyone to see today, with players showing improved technique, decision-making, and understanding throughout the practices and games. The effort levels were superb from start to finish.

⬛️ Meanwhile, Coach PAUL was concentrating on shooting techniques, with a particular focus on striking the ball using the laces. As always, there were plenty of smiles and laughs along the way! One unforgettable moment came when one of the boys was told which part of the foot they would be using to shoot. His response was priceless — he explained he had Velcro on his boots, so he couldn’t use his laces today! 🫣😂
After plenty of practice and encouragement, the boys really began to understand the technique and produced some fantastic strikes on goal. The session finished with another dramatic edition of El Clásico, packed with goals, excitement, and end-to-end football. In the end, honours were even with an entertaining 6-6 draw — a perfect way to finish an excellent morning of Academy football!

🟥 Finally, a massive WELL DONE to today’s MVPs from our younger groups — THEO, MILES, LEWIS, & OSCAR T 👏⚽🔥
All four players showed brilliant effort, fantastic listening skills, and outstanding attitudes throughout their sessions.

⬛️ Another fantastic weekend of Academy Training filled with smiles, hard work, development, and fun. Well done to every single player who attended today — the progress being made across all age groups is amazing to watch, and we can’t wait to do it all again next weekend! ❤️⚽

----RED SATURDAY---
🟥⬛️🟥⬛️🟥⬛️🟥⬛️

🟥 Back once again at the FOUNDATION ACADEMY, the energy was electric as another brilliant training session unfolded!

⬛️ Our remaining two UNDER 6s squads — the GIRLS and the GREENS — were in outstanding form, showing determination, enthusiasm, and real progress as they continue adapting to the new and much-talked-about FA 3v3 format. The intensity was high, the effort relentless, and the improvement clear for everyone to see.

🟥 A special moment for the GREENS as we welcomed a new addition to the squad — a huge JTFC welcome to HARDY! On his very first day, he showed confidence beyond his years, refusing to let any nerves get the better of him. Instead, he embraced the session and immediately impressed with his natural ability and attitude. A fantastic start!

⬛️ This week’s UNDER 6s MVPs go to JOEY and INDIE — two players who truly stood out with their effort, skill, and commitment. Brilliant work from both of you!

🟥 The excitement didn’t stop there as we moved on to our three UNDER 5s groups, each bringing their own intensity and passion to the session.

⬛️ The RED Squad focused on movement with the ball and sharp changes of direction — and what a performance it was! Every single player stepped up, attacked the challenges head-on, and showed incredible improvement throughout. A session full of confidence and creativity!

🟥 Meanwhile, the BLACK and WHITE squads took on the challenge of attacking versus defending, learning how to make decisions under pressure before finishing with a thrilling game that had everything — determination, teamwork, and some fantastic moments of play.

⬛️ MVP awards for the UNDER 5s squads go to OLIVER G, EZRA, ELLIOTT, and GRAYSON C — players who delivered truly standout performances and gave it their all from start to finish. Absolutely superb effort from these boys!

🟥 Another fantastic morning at the FOUNDATION ACADEMY — full of smiles, development, and brilliant football all around. The future is looking very bright indeed! ⚽🔥
